I don’t know of a single lad on here who is against gay lads or lasses. So have you got some sort of agenda going? If not I would call it a day<ok>

Remember then the press was obsessed with Freddie Mercury and George Michael's girlfriends? While at the same time their sexuality was an open secret in London and LA.

Similar situation, albeit in different times. The media play along until something is just too tempting to reveal.

It's not the same as accusing the bloke of the same crimes as his brother.

Not a crime to be gay OR to cover it up last time I checked

What are you arguing about now? The first posts I saw were the vile memes featuring Jimmy Saville and Schofield's brother. That is what I object to. You argue that there is a "whiff of scandal" about it, implying these memes to be depicting the truth. I argue against that and you counter argue that Freddie Mercury was openly gay whilst married (something that Schofield is accused of as well). I really don't understand what it is you are trying to say now.

I dare you to tweet out the things that you've said on here without the anonymity afforded by this site and see where it gets you

I think you need to calm yourself.

I made no reference to any memes. When you leave a job in such a hurry and be very publicly excommunicated by your best friend, followed by descriptions of his toxic behaviours, that's a whiff of scandal.

I'm trying to say now exactly what I said then. If you want to engage in Twitter behaviour, you're barking up the wrong tree here.

I'm not trying to engage in anything and I'm perfectly calm. Maybe I misunderstood your stance on this whole thing, but there are people on here insinuating that this bloke is a sex offender/paedophile based on nothing more than internet gossip. I apologise if that is not your stance and I have implied that it is.

I'll say no more on the matter

Imo, not really. Barrymore's is a moot point, he somehow avoided prosecution despite the evidence against him in a one-off situation, his sexuality was well known. Saville and Harris were well known predators for decades but were protected by the tv companies and executives despite the complaints, desperate to maintain audience share. My original point being about paragraph 4 in @TopCat_ 's original post.

Quite right mate, I was just being facetious tbh ...

... and I have a real hatred of Barrymore if I'm being honest <laugh>

You'd have got on great with my dad there, Smug. He hated him for years. I think the nicest thing he ever called him was an unfunny, talentless arsehole back in the late 80s when Barrymore was doing "Strike It Lucky".

For me there's nothing worse than being told that some witless annoying loudmouth is actually a comedy genius ...

Catherine Tate, James Corden, Barrymore, Lee Evans, etc.

It's comedy based almost entirely on creating an uncomfortable embarrassing nuance and building on it.

This is true of course, Internet gossip is worthless and meaningless.

But that didn't stop Schofield claiming live on TV, after " three minutes of research" that Westminster was rife with peadophiles, even producing a scrap of paper and pushing into the hands of the Prime Minister. One of the names was visible, all the charges were proven baseless and he just carried on in his anodyne existence unpunished. Try that on here and there would be hell on and more.

He should have been sacked then, and could have been prosecuted had the individual, now dead, wished.

An odious talent vacuum. The rest of his existence is of no interest to me.

Ok ill bite, who are the people on here insinuating that the bloke is a sex offender / paedophile ? I cant see any comments that say that.
There are posts on comments made on social media but none accusing Schofield of being a sex offender or paedophile.
People are merely discussing whats " been rumoured " nobody has made any accusations apart from you.

This isn't a serious forum for precise debate and definitive judgements tbf ...

... people come on to idly gossip about all manner of shyte.

I doubt 1% really care one way or the other about Schofield but the fact he's 'bravely come out' will have some people vehemently, and automatically, defending him. I'd guess the same would apply if he was a spokesman for black issues or whatever. 'Witch hunt' would get an airing for sure

No one has the full facts but gossip over the garden fence has never been subject to strict rules and never will be.

I'd bet Noah''s neighbours were gossiping about his unnatural interest in animals and monopoly on all the local wood.

"I bet the bastard would let us all drown given half a chance ... the tosser."
