I was at that game, parkhead mar '99 vs cech rep iirc, I remember heading back in the car and a mates mate from the Celtic bus was there who'd I'd just met was calling the phone ins about it to tell them "it wiz the ranjurs fans that were booing"!!!

True Story!!!

He thought cause it was at parkhead Celtic fans would get blamed!...

In fairness no 3rd division player should be anywhere near any national team. still doesnt make it ok to boo your own players though.

 

i thought the booing was poor - no matter what black is like as a player (and honestly i dont think he is nearly good enough for the international game but hey ho) you should support your country

the irony of a rangers fan posting this is not lost on me, however. Some of the obvious contempt for their national squad makes this highly hypocritical

 

Pretty sure it was more to do with the fact he's a wee prick, he's f***ing mince, played for Hearts, plenty of Hibees at ER and they all hate him.

If i paid £20 to see my national team and they were giving pub league players caps i reckon i would boo as well.
