Scotland Fans Boo Ian Black

What would your reaction be if the question was put to Scott Brown.

Q. How would you feel about the Old Firm merging and forming a Glasgow United football team.

A. I would be honoured to play for that team.

Would you say;

- Well he's being honest, nothing wrong with that.
- He can get tae ****, they are our biggest rivals. No chance.
- Glasgow United, sounds like a great idea.

And you would no doubt expect people to kick up a stink about his answer, would you not?

 

Haven't read what anyone else has said yet so apologies if the conversation has moved on.

But imo it's absolutely shocking for the tartan ****wits to boo Ian Black. I don't like him as a player and don't think he should've been in the squad, but that's neither here nor there - booing someone as they come on for their first cap simply because of who he plays for / which league he plays in is pathetic beyond belief. The "boo-ers" are just bitter morons and the reason I can't be much arsed with scotland games.

 

Your answer medro, I would understand people giving him serious abuse/threats. If you understand it could result in a death threat it sums you up. He gave his opinion. He also said how proud he was to represent ni, in the same interview I believe

 

He also said if there was one team he would play. He didn't say there should be one team

 

Believe it or not if for example James Forrest had been asked if he would like to see a GB team and he said he would then I might not have agreed with his answer but i wouldn;'t have been against him expressing his opinioin.

And on a slightly different note I didn't want McGeady to play for ROI because I thought Scotland would miss out on a decent talent but I've never slated him for his decision because it was his to make.

Not that it bothers me (much) but I just want to show that we're not all hypocrites on here.

 

Don't be a ****in retard medro, Glasgow is a city not a Country. Domestic rivalries should be put aside when talking about a National team.

Both Lennon and Best said they would prefer an all Ireland team (I can't actually think of any other NI team in sport) Lennon got booed by the fans and sent death threats and George Best got an airport named after him. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why.

Go on give us your honest opinion how you would feel if Brown said that and the reaction he would get from the Celtic support.

I came on here to add comment on the Scotland fans booing Black thread but it doesn't seem to be about that anymore!
If anyone is interested on getting back on subject, is it not hypocritical to say that picking a player from the third tier of Scottish
Football is disgracefull when Jordan Rhodes is from the third tier of English football!!
Also Black was regarded as one of the most consistent performers in the SPL last year and was awarded MotM in the Scottish Cup
Final at the end of May, has he become a poor player in 3 months??
