This is a positive, as it should be an opportunity for the Trust to seriously reconsider what on earth it is doing getting into bed with these Yankee chancers. The whole takeover was a bad decision by the sell-outs for the club, and the Trust should distance itself from this toxic business group and seek legal redress in the courts over how this has prejudiced the Trust and the club on and off the field.

The evidence is obvious, and the results of this poison are all too clear. I have only contempt for every one of the sell-outs of the old board for what they have done to our club. As custodians they have been found wanting...............................<ok>

I wonder if the Yanks have withdrawn on the basis that, with relegation looming, the previously agreed purchase price is now looking too high......

Have they thrown the towel in , most likely I'd say with no signs of any new faces and the negative press they're getting , a high tail out of town maybe coming sooner than we thought.

can I ask and don't want to sound thick here, but what doi they actually get out of purchasing the stadium. will be a massive white elephant when we are in l2 and 4000 coming through the gates or is it just to own the land and knock the stadium down when they have had enough and build flats.

They won’t own any brick and mortar or the land. What they want is a long term lease and be in charge of the ground as principal tenants. Naming rights and any extra revenue e.g. concerts will go to The Swans.

Who pays for maintainance of the ground now, Just seems they wont be around long enough to get anything back from the purchase, unless by owning the ground the price of the club will increase should they sell.

To clarify, my understanding is that the Yanks will be buying 100% of SSMC - basically buying the one-third owned by each of the Council and the Ospreys.

As such, they will be 100% responsible for all running costs eg maintenance of the stadium including pitch replacement. Similarly, they will secure the revenue streams from naming rights etc

is there that much money in the naming rights of a stadium belonging to a lower league club. I am just curious as to how much they think they can make on this against whatever they are laying out to purchase it.

I suspect that they have someone lined up - but that could fall away if we are relegated.

Can't imagine that they will get much without the global exposure of the PL
