Just got a call from the foundation of light. I have won the £1000 draw last week. That’s the season cards sorted with beer money to spare.
Sent an E-Mail days ago but still no call. Is the ticket office opening on Monday as normal? Normal as in I can’t call a number and speak to a member of staff? Not expecting it to be open in person, need to sort out tickets for other members of family young and old who haven’t got accounts, it’s like a military operation. I fear they are only selling say 20% of capacity as last week the club were calling very quickly? If that’s not the case I just hope ticket office is open Monday or I doubt I can get the renewals sorted.
If we were offering £100 season tickets, how many could we sell?? Hartlepool did something like this years ago and sold over 5,000
Season cards now ran by a private company. If you emailed the ticket office they will get back eventually. I’m looking at getting my youngest lad a season card again as he finishes Uni this summer. I will get him to get log in details on safc.com then buy him a ticket on there as close as I can to where I sit.
Hope you get sorted mate. I still need to renew mine, so hope I don't get the same chew. Annoying when you didn't cancel and still have a clart on.
I sit in the West stand mate between the half way line and the north stand. There is a decent bunch around us with a couple of young teenagers, a couple of wives and some older (like me) fairly knowledgeable blokes. There was half a dozen empty seats near us. Tad expensive for a youngun though.
Got mine. Didn't renew last season because of furlough, not knowing if there'd be any games to watch, and because the season card worked out more expensive than the stream. Felt strange not having one despite the circumstances. Also found a seat to the end of our group free so got one for my little lad. At 7 (just turned 7 last month) he's probably still a bit young to be going every week, but delighted he's a season card holder. Sounds sad but its one of the things I most looked forward to when we knew he was going to be a thing! First game, first win, first season card with dad. Buzzing that he's got his own seat in our ground now.
He will love it. Gooch last minute v Charlton a couple of seasons ago had my (then 7 year old hooked). He loves it and can't wait to get back to the SoL
Best we've had so far was celebrating McGeady's winner when I took him to be part of the biggest boxing day crowd! Looking forward to a lot more of that kind of thing in the years to come. Mind, our descent will always be highlighted to me by his age at the games. Took him to the last home game in the top flight against Swansea when he was 3 (thought it was probably too early for him, but I didn't know when we'd be back so wanted him to be able to say he'd seen us in the top flight!). That Bradford game in the middle of a league one season he was 4! I remember posting on twitter about it and, as always, some bellend mag had to start spouting ****e. Said I was making it up, and tagged the "didn't happen" account, because he said it was impossible for him to be 3 in the prem and 4 in league one cos there was a full season in between. Thick mag knacker!
Fantastic considering only around 12k this time about two years back. As It was said in field of dreams, "if you build it, they will come".
