Not much of it though QPR CEO Lee Hoos said: “As has been demonstrated in previous years, we would normally provide season ticket information far earlier than this and I would like to apologise to supporters for the delay. “We are eager to implement rail seating within the stadium for the new season as we know through extensive consultation with supporters that there is a clear appetite for this. “In order to achieve this, it has caused a delay with season ticket information as I do not want to announce these until we have established exactly where rail seating will be and, therefore, what supporters will be paying for. “We are now very close to concluding our plans for rail seating and these will be announced shortly. We firmly believe the location of rail seating will be popular with supporters. “Once again, I would like to thank fans for their support and patience.”
I am now old enough to now Uber. One of the few perks of growing old...I can afford a ticket, but have increasing difficulty get up the steps to the top of the loft!
When I got mine it was 60. But since then it is rising. I think this year it is 61...rising to 62 next year... Rising by a year every couple of years until it gets to 65... in 2030
It’s 61 this season, I qualify and I think you would too…..however we don’t know how much they are going to be yet. An argument that with high inflation prices which have been frozen for some time should rightfully go up. But if they put the prices up 10% and one in ten current ST holders don’t renew because of it, the club won’t make any money. Tricky balancing act.
Written in 2019 . From the offy. IMPORTANT information for senior supporters: In line with a large number of Premier League and Championship clubs across the country and taking into account eligibility to access state retirement benefits, QPR will be adjusting the age range for senior concession tickets over the coming years. We are acutely aware this will affect a number of supporters so with this in mind we have created a structure which is phased and gradual. We believe this will reduce the impact of this necessary change. Please note, no changes will be implemented until 2021/22. Currently, senior concession prices are available to QPR supporters aged 60 and above. This will increase on a gradual scale as detailed in the table below. Over the past eight years, state retirement age has increased from 60 to 65 for women, and this is set to rise further to 66, 67 and 68 for both men and women. QPR CEO Lee Hoos told www.qpr.co.uk: “Almost 75% of Championship clubs have already increased their senior concession age to 65 while 90% of Premier League clubs do likewise. “However, as we will be increasing the age on a gradual scale we will not reach this level for another ten years following which senior concession age will track state retirement age. “This decision is not one which has been made lightly but with state retirement age increasing significantly in recent years, it is important that we as a club move in keeping with the times.” Season Age triggering concession price 2018/19 60 2019/20 60 2020/21 60 2021/22 61 2022/23 61 2023/24 62 2024/25 62 2025/26 63 2026/27 63 2027/28 64 2028/29 64 2029/30 65 2030/31 65 2031/32 66 - Linked to state retirement age 2032/33 66
So looks like they’ve switched sides on the safe standing at the last minute. Personally happy it doesn’t now affect me.
Because we need to sell it to away fans. And you would be standing under away fans.. a recipe for disaster...
