London's first European trophy won by Spurs.....followed by West Ham. Just thought I'd mention it......
Ok, you won a Europeen trophy before us theres no denying that, you won it in 1963, 2 years before the London Government act created the London Borough of Haringey in April 1965, before then, Tottenham was a district in Middlesex (where you had been since 1850), not in London, so when you won your Cup Winners Cup, you werenât a London club and therefore cannot be the first London Club to win a cup in Europe. West Ham won it in May 1965, making West Ham the first London club to win a Europeen cup.
London,N.17. for umpteen years means nothing then.Born in Tottenham makes us foreigners eh? Ok.Make me a Gibraltarian!!!!!! Makes me think West Ham is closer to France! Frogs legs, anyone?
I don't know what that makes you but you can't claim that you were a London club when you won the ECWC in 1963
