Seb sat near to us in the NWQ for many years, including this season. I’ve just been talking to my sons about all of the far flung places we’ve encountered him over the years, including in the pub at Ipswich drinking his blue WKD, and at Northampton away wearing a muddy goalie top donated by Ben Amos (I think). He was very much a one off, and a regular part of the furniture at a club that has seen so much instability and unwelcome change in recent years. The most fitting tribute to his dedication to the old club is that it will be noticed that he is no longer there.

I never met Seb, but what we had in common - being fans of CAFC - makes him in a way the closest person to me so far who has fallen because of this pandemic. He was so well regarded by those who did know him, news of his passing is even more saddening. This is a dreadful business. It's going to change some things forever, even after it has been beaten. RIP Seb. Your loved ones know how much you were (and are still) respected by the whole Charlton family. And that you'll always be remembered. That may give them a little comfort. I hope it does.
