Well, what can one say, can’t get up for this one, bit like my sex life this....Masky has given up on this season! It’s been interesting, but only the most optimistic amongst us will still believe we can get into the playoffs, I suppose a win tomorrow will sustain faint hopes! We should get three points against this once famous club as we have too, and we cannot perform so badly as we did against NF can we? 1-0 Ivanhoeeeeeee.....used to be Feeeeeeeeeee and Madineeeeeeeeeeeee! Fug off! Season Ticket For Sale £1 and a firm handshake included!
Back to the game - yes, we do have a game!............. If Ng is good to go today and plays left wingback with Sang keeping the right hand spot, where does that leave Ralls? Out in the cold with Vaulks and Pack continuing in midfield, or joining them there with Bacuna losing out?
I have to say none of those midfield options inspire me. Also Ng is much better at right back. If he plays left it stifles his usual attacking ability. Why not play him rb as normal with Ralls lb? He has been okay there and then maybe gives us the option of playing Sang in his normal midfield position. Could even revert to a back 4 allowing 1 more in midfield but I can't see MM doing that willingly. If we want to go even further from the norm how about Colwill in the number 10 role? He has the skill and strength if lacking a little in pace for now. Finally, Moore is in dire need of a rest before he suffers a more serious injury as a result of fatigue and we lose him for a run of games. Watters must be chomping at the bit for an opportunity. Why not? We would need to play a different game - no more lumping it up but with Sang and Colwill we will have an abundance of skill in midfield compared to normal. Moore can come on from the bench as a plan B if needed. All of that will confuse the Wendies, as well as us!!!
I'd like to see Jonny Williams get some decent game time as well - maybe instead of Bacuna up there alongside Wilson. Looks as though Mick has nailed his colours to the mast as far as Moore is concerened - he seems to think he is vital.
Bournemouth, Reading & Barnsley all won. Looks hard for us now. mind you Swansea have lost 4 on the trot.
1 Norwich 39 29 84 2 Watford 40 30 79 3 Brentford 38 26 69 4 Swansea 39 14 69 5 Barnsley 40 8 68 6 Reading 40 13 66 7 Bournemouth 39 22 65 8 Cardiff 39 17 58
Our season is over all bar the shouting so when is MM going to give some of our youth a game and try 4-4-2? Another attritional 90 minutes of long throws and kicks up to Moore with midfield passing sideways and backwards? Or a free flowing forward thinking dynamic performance?
Signing off now to watch the game on the box - doubt I'll be back on here tonight whatever the result, so it's manyana for me.
