There are arguments for and against. For example you can't have -1 sheep but you can have -1 pounds in the bank.
I am defensive - not against what you said but because the general public have **** all idea of how difficult teaching is, how much time and effort we have to put in and that we don't leave school at 3pm and we don't get 13 weeks a year holiday. ALL this for **** pay! No wonder teacher numbers are dwindling! On top of this we then get belittled by the government, spoken **** about by the media and at least 30% of parents (dependent on school) think they know best! When I used to work in the private sector I was never sheer knackered from a days work including my labouring days at university. The piss take of teaching is that when I taught Year 1 I had to write a sentence saying what they had done well and how thet could make it better - they couldn't even ****ing read. Ofsted were also expcting a response! They can't write! Haha
But on paper you have -1 pound. Like I say the physical concept of negative numbers does not exist hence arguments for and against.
so I'm right then? zero doesn't exist because nothing existing is physically impossible... zero is just a term we use to describe something that doesn't exist.
no it did not and that is my point ... the universe to the best of our scientific understanding came from the big bang ie something and that had to come from something and on and on ...
