Evans, you're a twat! Evans, Evans, you're a twat! Oh the joys. Football fans get a chance to show their unparalleled wit live on TV and I can't see us finding anything more original or interesting than that. I'm willing to make a sportsman's bet on it, like Lawro's bet Thierry Henry wouldn't score for Arsenal in his second loan stint. Hopefully it has a similar outcome, and we fire eloquent, 6-versed sonnets brimming with adjectives and words suitable for fluffy little bunnies, but for some reason I doubt it.

Evans' men are in action tonight against Morecambe. To be honest, I couldn't give a flying fig. I'm too despondent, depressed and downhearted following THAT loss and yet another abysmal decision to really care about how the best team in the league do. I just don't think they'll be up for it. Their cup exit will leave them broken. Anyway, enough about Manchester City.

Crawley have lost their star striker all over again, but fortunately have 856 players waiting to fill the gap. A tough battle beckons, but I'm confident in our ability after an excellent performance against Dick Anio's men.

    Crawley:
    • Recent League Form: DDDWLD
    • Top Scorers: Tubbs (18) <laugh>, Barnett (15) <laugh>, Drury (4)
    • Last Meeting: Crawley 2-1 Shrewsbury (Torres, Howell;Wright)
    • League Position: 6[SUP]th[/SUP]; 55 points from 28 games; GD 17
    • Away Record: W5, D6, L3, F19, A22

    • Shrewsbury's Recent League Form: WWLWWL
    • Shrewsbury's Home Record: W11, D3, L0, F23, A7 <diva>
    • Lenny's SUPER Fact: One has to go as low as 15[SUP]th[/SUP] in the table to find a team with a worse away GD than Crawley
    • Lenny's GRANDISON Fact: Rocks are scared of Jermaine Grandison.

    Lenny's Prediction:
    Shrewsbury 2-0 Crawley (Collins [2]) Attendance 5,204

They recovered a draw. Not the greatest result for them, and they'll be slightly more tired than us having had less time to recover.

Just looked at the stats and it appears Morecombes defence did a lot of work last night. Crawley had 20 shots to Morecombes 7

ya ya crawley are a shadow of their former selves and since christmas have been a busted flush in the league.

    d h morecambe 1-1, L a swindon 0-3w h chelt 4-2,d a plym 1-1 d a gas 0-0, d a oxon 1-1,w h 1-0 barnet,l h gill 1-2 and d a crewe 1-1. crawley. at these rate in spite of games in hand, they may keep cheltenham company in the slide down the greasy pole.

next monday i spy a goalfest. shrews 4 ya ya crawley 1. wright wroe collins 2 att 4899. the clue to shrews result is how well or otherwise the teams performed at swindon. it appears swindon and shrews are running out of opposition.

as an aside ya ya had only 2186 attendence

I can see Crawley suffering a couple of back-to-back defeats soon (starting with Monday night) & really wouldn't be surprised seeing them fudge things up. I don't have them down as being in the Auto's come May. Anyway..

Salop 3 Crawley 1 (Pearson, McNally, Rowley)

How can a person with a record like this still find a place in football:-

"Evans was suspended by Boston as manager on 4 July 2002 after a much-publicised Football Association (The FA) investigation into "contract irregularities". He later resigned as manager of the club in September 2002, after still being suspended by the club. He was found guilty by The FA in December 2002 of impeding an FA inquiry into contract irregularities. Evans was also suspended from the game for 20 months in January 2003 for involvement of the affairs of Boston, in which players' contracts lodged with the FA contained false salary details. Evans was further accused of impeding the inquiry and fined £8,000. Evans lodged an appeal against charges in May 2003, but The FA rejected his appeal later that month and the punishment stood.

An announcement was made on 20 February 2004 that Evans would return as Boston's manager on 2 March. In September 2005, Evans and four other people connected with Boston appeared in court, denying fraud charges. In November 2005, Evans was given a £1,000 fine, suspended for a year, after admitting to using insulting or abusive words to the match official in a match against Peterborough United in October 2005. On 11 February 2006, he was escorted from Grimsby Town's stadium Blundell Park by Humberside Police at half-time, after he berated the fourth official after being incensed when Grimsby goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall appeared to handle the ball outside his area and was immediately spoken to by a police officer after a complaint of alleged foul and abusive language. After the match Boston chairman Jon Sotnick accused the football authorities of waging a "conspiracy" against his manager. In October 2006, Evans was linked with the vacant Darlington managerial vacancy, but Boston chairman James Rodwell and Evans both denied the link. Also in October, Evans was sent from the dugout after an altercation with Wycombe Wanderers player Tommy Doherty. After pleading guilty to conspiracy to evade tax, on 3 November 2006 Evans received a one-year suspended sentence and a £1,000 fine. Despite these events, Evans kept his manager's position at Boston, a decision that angered the Boston United Supporters' Trust."

I think we need to stop worrying about Evans and his antics - it is done partly to try and make the opposition lose their heads. We should take the lead of GT and stay dignified and just concentrate on beating them. Despite all the things that have been said about them ( and I do agree with some of it) they are a formidable team in this league (for example, they have a Torres who can actually score!). I anticipate a tight game but predict a 2-1 win for the Shrews and hopefully we are due a decision or two in our favour.

Unfortunately i can't make it but seeing WBA wipe the floor with sunderland today partly made up for it. Along with Wales winning (boarding school is eerily quiet) just need to squeeze a win in front of the cameras to have a perfect sporting weekend.

I'd offer my season ticket but no offence intended, I think there's a small age gap between us all :emoticon-0111-blush

I'm not a huge rugby fan, but obviously support England when they play, but would say that Wales would be the second best team to support if they're not playing England :D

Did you go to WBA match?

Hi all , good luck for Monday.
Could some one there do a favour for the rest of league 2, could they buy some slug pellets or even better some good old fashioned salt, and spread around the Creepies tecnical area, you never know it might make Fatty Evans turn into a pile of goo and water lol . thanks in advance :emoticon-0116-evilg

i always think the best things to keep the opposition on their backsides is iffy prawns or cockles. prawns need a good 48 hours in the warmth of the kitchen to bring out e coli and other bowel lossening bacterias. any one for a prawn cocktail crawley. shrews 4 creepy prawnies 1 wright wroe collins2 att4889. come on you shrews, breath on 'em , er make sure they do not breath on you and mind where you put your feet
