Simmo back for Sunday?

Anyone know how bad his injury was that led to him getting subbed off against blackburn? Pards has said "“Danny hurt his shoulder." hardly an insight onto the potential length of his injury layoff though

 

Hope so, he is a good, solid player despite what some say. We need him atm.

 

I thought it was a tactical move as Raylor is a better crosser (we had Shola and Best up front at that point). Hopefully it's not too bad though, just a "knock" where he misses 1 or 2 games maximum.

 

The commentary i had just thought it was an illness but i don't really know

 

Hasnt said anything about it on his twitter, hope he's fit as I think he's more solid than Raylor defensively and I want Raylor in midfield anyway.

 

Not gunna do an article on this because no doubt there will be about 50 billion trillion of them before the weekend, but what would be your team for Saturday?

Presuming Simmo is fit and we pick up no more injuries, I'd personally go with:

GK - Tim Krul

RB - Danny Simpson
CB - Mike Williamson
CB - Fabricio Coloccini
LB - Davide Santon

RM - Hatem Ben Arfa
CM - Mehdi Abeid
CM - Yohan Cabaye
LM - Jonas Gutierrez

AM - Gabriel Obertan

ST - Shola Ameobi

I'd swap Hatem and Obertan over which could work well imo - Ober could put in a good shift and impress behind the main man imo.

Abeid because Guthrie probably isnt fit and QPR are missing all their CMs anyway, and Shola because Best doesnt appear to be doing anything.

 

I would keep Best. Agree with the rest of your team though.

This. But I would play Best instead of Shola because Shola had his one good game in ten vs Man Yooooooo.

 

I'm no fan of Shola but he's been decent this season, played well against Spurs, Wigan, Man U and probably others I've forgot. Best has been poor since his injury and I just think it would be harsh if someone else didnt get a chance.

In fairness to Best he got a great assist in the one-two with Jonas for the winning goal. Sadly lack of goals is now becoming a concern - would love to see him get one as he needs it most.

 

If Simmo is fit then it has to be Raylor on the right and Best and Benny up front for me.
If Simmo isn't then obviously bring Raylor in for him; HBA on the right, Shola and Best up front.

In fairness Shola and Best usually gets the latter's goalscoring going.

 

We should defo beat QPR like, just noticed that Joey, Taarabt, Traore, Faurlin are all out. Who they gunna play now? lol
