It’s one of the Screen2 series, watching one now on BBC4, Lucky Sunil. Pretty good so far. I vaguely remember East of Ipswich from the original broadcast, fancied the bird in it and saw her recently an episode of Lovejoy.
I saw Tina Turner at Wembley about 20-odd years ago. I didn't really want to go, but I went as a favour to a workmate - plus the ticket was free. I'm glad I did go. A fantastic performer. RIP
Just hearing a few clips on the news she did more great songs than I remembered, expect I’d have enjoyed it and probably sang along to most of it.
The Best is a bit corny, of course, but I still remember the buzz of hearing it live. The crowd went mad for it more than any other song that night.
