Yeah it's something he doesn't have to do, but it won't be hard to find an opponent worse than whatever standard he is at. Like the Flintoff fight. No boxing fan should give this match any attention IMO.
What Rio needs in an opponent is a fat, unfit lard arse with a huge beer gut - but who fancies himself as a hard man. Can you think of anyone ?
Charltons LGBT team getting a few minutes on BBC breakfast this morning. The PR company hired last year are clawing back the reputation to the masses. KM nowhere to be seen which was a clever touch.
I have heard of this LGBT team. Sounds like a good idea on the face of it, but there are one or two questions that come to mind... 1) Is it a mixed gender team? If not, then lesbians, bisexual women or transgender women cannot join it. 2) Or are there two teams - a male (GBT) team and a female (LBT) team? 3) Do you have to be of a minority sexual orientation to join the team, or can heterosexual people join as well? I'm not sure specialised teams like this are the best answer to problems of dressing room 'lad' culture and discrimination against minorities in football. Decades ago many of the early Black players suffered routine abuse, certainly from fans, and possibly from team-mates as well? But did any of the professional Clubs organise Black teams? I honestly don't know, but I would guess not. The same argument goes for any other minority, aside from some folks with special needs who might understand the game differently. Personally I think somebody's sexual orientation is their own business. I understand why lads in a dressing room might choose to pick on an individual who does not share their professed liking for drinking or gambling or casual encounters with women. But I don't think the best way to modify that culture is to run away from it.
It used to be assumed by his team-mates that Graeme Le Saux was gay because he read the Guardian. This would make me gay on Saturdays.
The squad is what it is with Konsa, Aribo and Dijksteel not playing much. We are clearly better than last season for we are in the top six and not mid-table. A win on Saturday and I'll happily take the last two losses. **The above was posted by SeriouslyUnbelievable on the Bury thread on ITTApologist. So he thinks it is okay to win one game and lose the other two. Can my fellow members please make sense of this as I cannot.

If they repeat that on Saturday they'll get something from the game because there is no way we are scoring three goals. Really! We create enough chances Paul... We don't become a bad team overnight... Excuse me peabrain but since when have we become a good team.
Isn't it awful the way ex England wimmin manager Mark Sampson was hounded out of his job. What is the world coming to when you can't have a kiss and cuddle with your players in the showers after a game ?
Ill never give Pardew credit. Demanded his pay off for being ****, and was a significant nail in the coffin that almost bankrupted us.
