He was certainly unlucky to be competing in the Hendry era, don't like the guy but obviously an amazing player and ruthless. Still though with White's talent it can't always have been bad luck it happened too many times.
His best chance possibly was when he lost to Alex Higgins in the semi final back in 82. Steve Davis has been beaten in the first round and ray reardon was way past his best and lost to Alex in the final. other times he had to use a lot of energy beating Hendry in the semis that he had nothing left for the final
At the start it’s 4/11 O’Sullivan, 2/1 higgins which is a tempter if I’ve ever seen one, in a two player race
Higgins was looking the winner in frame 2 but potted the blue, then split the four reds, which led to one going in. O’Sullivan needs no invitation and it’s 1-1 Ronnie now 5/6, Higgins 11/8
Just catching a bit of it now, Ronnie looks nonchalant as hell. I always want him to win anyway and I always want Higgins to lose so come on Ronald.
I enjoy a good safety battle but there's nothing I like more than watching Ronnie casually clear up like he's playing down at the club.
It’s been a great day. Tension 4-3 with jimmy, now the quality of this match Ronnie about to go 5-3 brilliant stuff
