I was bored yesterday evening so had a quick look at the recent form of some of the teams who were nailed on certainties to go down a few weeks ago or so everyone thought, even the fans of those clubs.

    Norwich last 9 games - won 5 drew 4 lost 0
    Saints last 6 games - won 3 drew 2 lost 1

I prefer to look at it that they have had a good run and luck has gone their way. We have had neither. So far. So before we jump off the nearest bridge let's wait until say 10 games before the end of the season. We just need to stay in touch or on the ropes for now. It can happen.

As long there's mathematical chance of us staying up I'll believe but I think Harry will sort the lads out and we'll have decent team

Well said and OK we have to start bloody soon but please everyone look at these runs based on confidence. My point is that not all team can do this its simple maths. We have to click of course but we are unbeaten in three

Spot on. Harry is 3 games in and unbeaten. Lets give him at least a bit longer before everyone gives up!

"So its hopeless is it? "

Bookies certainly seem unanimous in thinking so but what do they know.

I'd say the difference is that when we were in the mess we felt that we weren't getting the points our performances deserved (Except vs Chelsea, Fullham and Liverpool when we received deserved tonkings) and now we have started doing that we have given ourselves some room for error later in the season to stay up.

gain two points a month on the 17th placed team - for the next four months. Then we're in the mix for April. Its not impossible, but I think we're currently losing two points a month on the 17th placed team - so need to starting winning - to state the bleedin' obvious

Is it not also the case that you changed your formation to 4-2-3-1?

Another thread about the same things. If you do not believe that we can make it then just do not follow anymore games and wait for Watford & Co. I for myself have not lost faith yet and did see some good Football without the needed / deserved results. Fulham is another toughy but when you least expect something it may happen.

Nope they are playing with belief **** all to do with formations ... they believe and have built on that ... and good luck top them Norwich are playing some excellent football at the moment... And their fans /posters are wise enough to know that even they could drop at any moment ... that's dignity ... what happened to our lot on here? Laughing stock IMO

I agree with that. Norwich fans didn't get carried away like we did. They always realized they were a small Club in a big League but we thought different about ourselves, didn't we?

    Time for some humility.

There is some truth in that Swords, but for probably the majority of us on here we have always viewed ourselves as a small club and that hasn't changed, you can not be a big club on crowds of 17k & 18k. Sure some of the signings are shall we say "out of the norm" and certainly not the QPR style and if is does go tits up we could most certainly be the next Pompey......so a bit of common sense needs to be applied and i just hope that TF & Co are here for the long journey because we do have the potential to grow and become a force in English football but it will take at least 10 years to get there.
