HCST - Hull City Hall of Fame

We are pleased to announce we have been asked by the club to participate in their selection for a Hull City Hall of Fame.

This perfectly embodies our strapline of Ambition & Tradition whilst also showing that we want to work with the club for the benefit of both organisations and the wider fanbase.

We would like to point out that we have been invited to participate in a "Hull City Hall of Fame", not a "Tigers Hall of Fame" and we shall be making sure this title remains. The first meeting is on Wednesday and we shall update you as soon as possible.

Should tell them to stick it right up their...

Preparations for the first-ever Tigers Hall of Fame event are well underway with legends Chris Chilton and Ken Wagstaff the first to confirm their attendance on the evening.

Chilton made his Tigers debut at the age of 17 in 1960 having come through the club ranks and scored 20 goals in his first season in black and amber. That would prove to be a taster of things to come with Chilton going on to become the Tigers' record goalscorer with 222 goals in 477 appearances.

Wagstaff joined the Tigers from Mansfield in 1964 and scored on his Club debut in a 3-1 victory over Exeter City. Also on the scoresheet that day was Chilton and the pair were to form the most formidable strike partnership in the Tigers' history. 'Waggy' made 25 appearances in his first season, scoring 23 goals.

The following season he scored 27 goals in 46 appearances as the Tigers won the old Division Three Championship. He also famously scored two goals in a 2-2 FA Cup match with Chelsea. Ken continued to play for the Tigers until 1975 with a record of 434 appearances and 197 goals.

The partnership between the two continues to be the most lethal pairing the Club has ever had and we're delighted both will be in attendance on the night.

The Hall Of Fame will honour players, coaches and other connected figures in our 113-year existence who have played an outstanding part in forming and maintaining the Club's wonderful history.

The event will also be attended by around 25 Club legends along with current Tigers Head Coach Leonid Slutsky, giving a great opportunity for supporters to meet their heroes - past and present - with all profits from the night to be donated to WWF as part of our charity partnership.

There will also be an exclusive auction on the night with some truly unique money can't buy prizes donated by the Club and its partners all in aid of the WWF's campaign to double wild tiger numbers.

Book your place from Monday 30th of October click here for the full package details.

Tickets for our eagerly-anticipated Tigers Hall of Fame event are now on sale.

The special evening, which will be held at the KCOM Stadium on Thursday 1st February 2018, will see the Hall of Fame's inaugural inductees announced in front of an audience that will see past and present players and managers join with supporters on what is sure to be a memorable occasion.

Full details on the event can be downloaded by clicking here, while tickets are now available to buy online here.

Goal-scoring legends Chris Chilton and Ken Wagstaff were recently named as the first confirmed attendees for the event, and we can now announce that they will be joined on the night by two of their team-mates from the famous 1965/66 Third Division title-winning side - Ian Butler and Ken Houghton.

Butler and Houghton both arrived at Boothferry Park from Rotherham United in January 1965 to complete arguably the most exciting attacking line-up the Club has ever seen. Between them, they amassed a total of 643 appearances in the eight years they spent with the Tigers (they both left in the summer of 1973), with Butler scoring 70 times and Houghton 91.

Butler went on to play for York City and Barnsley, while Houghton would eventually return to Boothferry Park after his playing days had ended to become manager in the late 1970s.

We look forward to reliving those great times on the night, and over the next ten days we'll be announcing further confirmed guests covering the 1970s, 80s, 90s right up to the present day so keep checking the Official Website to find out which Tigers legends you could be sitting alongside!

I have never ever ever claimed to have not bought a ticket, or not attend a game in protest, or anything of that kind. So kindly **** the **** off.

Calm down princess. I never said you did. I was simply responding to your comment about boycotting because, presumably principles.

Others on here who are supposedly vehemently against the Allams would happily rock up to something if someone else paid for the tickets.

    Just to repeat, not you.

Proper attention to detail getting the other club’s names corrrect. It would have been inappropriate to just refer to Rotherham, rather than Rotherham United, for example.

.................now where is our ****ing club’s name! :emoticon-0121-angry

Ash has refused to attend, he says they can't just use him when they fancy it and it should be called Hull City Hall of Fame. <ok>

Can Hull City Council not build a statue of this man somewhere in our fine city?
