Mrs Fez showed me a story about a woman who refused to fart in front of her boyfriend and made herself quite ill as a result: the infection in her bowels was so acute that surgeons removed her appendix.<yikes>

    Better out than in eh?

It's not Rishi's wife that should be castigated but the tax legislation that needs revising by her husband which previous chancellor's failed to do.

No argument from me about that - the system is both immoral and unjust and needs to change.

But I do think think that Sunak has taken things to new heights - especially after denying that he had breached the ministerial code when he said that his wife's (and his father-in-law's) business had nothing to do with him.

According to the code, it quite clearly has everything to do with him. Little wonder that his popularity rating has plummeted - even within his own party.

you do realise that behind the fake patriotism by farage, banks and rees-mogg et al, the core reason for brexit was precisely to dodge the incoming EU tax laws addressing precisely this sort of thing? hardly patriotic for the super rich to cream even more for themselves whilst plunging hundreds of thousands into poverty: that's greed. And that's why people are poor: because most rich folks - especially those mentioned above - cannot be satisfied. Ever.

And annoyingly they had been planning it since 1993 when ERG was set up - with the subscription fees for members being paid by the taxpayers. So effectively we have paid for it twice.
