There's a Twitter thread circulating that purports to contain an illicit picture of a page from Paul Sturrock's upcoming book. It deals with Emile Mpenza, who, according to the snippet, caused Sturrock to "lose the will to live" with his continual injuries. Apparently, Mpensa took Viagra one evening and called in as unfit for training the following day because, ahem, the effects hadn't worn off, presumably meaning his training kit didn't fit properly.
The books already out (last christmas?) and yes that tale is in there. The whole thing is not a bad read, but like so many football autobiographies is too short and lacks real detail. Frustrating really as some of the dits are quite interesting.
According to pasoti there is a story about that Mpenza is suing Sturrock for his comments. Apparently he said he had a dead leg and not that it was stiff. (I made that up but not the story bit)
Not sure if Mpenza is boasting or complaining.....sounds a bit of a hard story to me.....at least he seems to have some talent to put on display although not in front of those that paid his wages on a Saturday afternoon.
I see he is now planning to sue Sturrock, presumably because of the implication he can't manage keepie-uppies all night without a pill.
