Horrific F4 crash at Donny. 90 minutes to extract and on rout to hospital in air ambulance! No reports on injuries yet. No news as if yet.
Saw that earlier, about as bad as crash as you can have in F4. Hopefully the fact they didn't rush his extraction is a kind of good sign.
My son raced with a lot of that grid and the reports coming out of the paddock are sketchy at best - but not sounding good.
Awful accident. Don't often see the front of a car back like that, can see why it took so long to cut him out. Hope his leg injuries aren't too severe.
Probably worried he had a back injury. It looked really nasty, he had no warning of a stopped car at all.
Just got back from Oulton Park and the news is not good. I don't think it's right for me to discuss until an official announcement is made.
It will be a long time, if ever, that he races at that level imo. At the moment I just hope he keeps his legs, that was full frontal, one of the nastiest impacts I can remember seeing.
I saw the incident and I nearly fell back of my chair on impact. Hope he pulls through as best he can.
Trouble brewing for Force India? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39627135 Mallya arrested in London for possible extradition to India to face fraud charges.
He's counteracted the sensationalism by tweeting that it was an expected part of his extradition hearing today, but who is to say that he won't be sent back to India. Can't imagine he will be able to manage an F1 team from a jail cell in New Delhi.
There are some interesting back stories to the build up to this about creditors forcing a large payment from Diageo to be blocked from being paid to Mallya. Concern would be that if he is brought down, would Force India go with him?
Would his personal wealth affect the team ? I am sure I saw an interview where Jenny Gowe asked the question , and the answer was the team is safe ( for now ) as that money was ring fenced .
