Probably correct but the reduction is a 12 month period started 2 days ago on 26th Oct when the ABA was agreed. Hopefully it will have a decent impact to act as a deterrent to the other teams.
No, nowhere near enough I dont thimk Hamilton can be awarded the Championship this late on But Mad Max should have his taken away or recorded as a title won by cheating just so in future years it will always be tainted
It was easier with schumacher. 2ndcmeant nothing so they stripped him of 2nd place and nobody really tried it on until the fake crash by Renault. There is a case to hammer red bull themselves justblikecmclaren for spy gate but proportionality is also key. If merc go break it by 20mil then what is punishment if you exclude red bull this time? It's hard to know but the fine is nothing and the wind tunnel, well only time will tell.
The fact is RBRs accountants have alledgedly made a £1/2m mistake, but haven't been fired. Not dodgy at all, nope.
Last season was one of the most interesting in a long time, but mostly just in the numbers. The on-track fight between Max and Hamilton was mostly meh. It was either one vanished in to the distance or the other did. But... Here is where last season stands: Rules were changed to specifically hinder the low rake philosophy for the sake of the show. Regs were ignored to create a faux finale under safety car, resulting in the governing body having to eject it's race director because the way the rules were applied were "human error." Red Bull took the piss when it came to the budget cap, as was always going to happen by one or more teams... And I'm convinced this overspend is way more than we're told. Let's not even get in to the ridiculous stewarding overall. Honestly, F1 is becoming a carnival... Just watch IndyCar folks! It's the only sane choice, and far more entertaining!
The most mission-critical people in a modern F1 team are: 1. the drivers 2. the Team Principal =3. the spin doctors =3. the lawyers =3. the accountants 6. aero designers 7. everyone else
I’ve not gone through all the details, but the RedBull list and the Aston list don’t seem that dissimilar- is the key point that Aston didn’t spend to the limit and so even with the mistakes they didn’t breach the limit? It is interesting how much various forms of tax makes up for the discrepancies - I’m kind of amazed things like social security are included - maybe this is why no-one wants a US based Andretti team, it would have a big advantage in this area.
Well, I'm sure the real scoop would be to be another blood washer and base the team in Bahrain and pay.not tax at all and be given all sorts of breaks and incentives.
What on earth has happened to Ted Kravitz note book ? I used to really look forwards to it , but tonight he took about 11 minutes before talking about todays qualifying
I thought the same, I watched on youtube and kept skipping till he actually talked about quali. I didn't think it was a great episode really, I didn't spot any great insights.
Not sure if this is the right place for this , mods feel free to move it . Has anyone else heard that Max & the entire RBR team have refused to speak to sky , after Ted Kravitz said in Austin that Hamilton was robbed of last years championship ? IMHO. IF. TK did say that , then he is out of order .shouldn’t be saying things in public . If RBR are refusing to speak to SKY , then that is not on either , Seems from the outside like CH & HM. Just saying / acting like they often do . I
Hello Number 1 Jasper, yes, I`ve read that on a web site called "planet f1",it`s a real troll site but I read them all. I would have thought that drivers and team principals etc. were under some sort of contract to speak to every sports reporters, but maybe I`m wrong.
Seems to be true as RedBull have acknowledged it. They say it’s just for one race, although you have to wonder if it will have a knock on effect on some of the extras like “Live from the pit wall”, that many teams don’t seem to support, but RedBull have.
