I don't know why England pick that Bairstow.
Gets himself out when he should have had at least 200

444 is highest ODI score ever (held by England).

    433- 3 with 33 balls left

Hales out. Given the selectors a problem as to who they leave out to bring Stokes in. I would bring him in for a bowler personally.

If only Morgan had stayed in....

481-6 is staggering though. Even if Aus get to say 250-2 after 30, they're only just over halfway there. It's ungettable surely?

The Aussies need more than 2 runs per ball for the last 150 balls!

    Moeen & Rashid - 9 overs, 4-49

    14 overs, 6-73

    Make that 15 overs, 7-75.
Incredible bowling on this pitch after what's gone before

England women post record 250 score in T20.
There must be something in the water.
Mind you the boundaries would be very short, no doubt.

South Africa currently need more than 3 runs per ball over the last 10 overs!
    Good one to win <laugh>

  14. Jason Roy!! What a catch!! <cheers>

The game has moved on over the past 5-10 years and these boundary catches are almost commonplace now. <applause>

How many overs will it take Roy and Bairstow to destroy the Aussies?
311 is about 35 overs worth for these two.

Turned out to be quite leisurely. Nearly 45 overs, disgracefully slow - probably would have only reached 350/360 in the full 50 overs. Yawn.

As good as Joe Root obviously is, he's about 30 runs per 100 balls short of holding down a place at the moment looking at how quickly the others are scoring consistently

So if Stokes comes back into the team, is it Joe Root who should get left out?

    Difficult.
He can hold the innings together on pitches less favourable to the batsmen.
And he bowled 10 overs for just 44 runs on a good batting wicket the other day.
But who else gets the chop if he doesn't?
Stokes has to play because he offers a lot in all three disciplines.
