Luck plays a part throughout every game. Edges, near misses.... No different here. It was won by a champion cricketer.
It's a terrible cliche but Test Cricket's the winner. Soooo many people writing off the longer form of the game but something like today just emphasises how great it is. A truly epic contest with everything you could want in a sporting event.
https://www.skysports.com/cricket/n...tokes-ashes-heroics-makes-me-want-spurs-shirt I don't care about cricket, but if the club has any sense then they'll send him some stuff now.
I hated it at school and just can't warm to it now. Each to his own, though. No cricket, no Tottenham Hotspur.
If Youtube really wanted to make money, rather than charging people £7.50 to watch another KSI vs Logan Paul boxing match, they should charge people £5 to punch Logan Paul in the face
England already praying for rain.... and lots of it. If somehow they can get out of Manchester with a draw and then win at The Oval to regain The Ashes. Smith is due a low score, he can not keep scoring centuries surely, hopefully that comes at The Oval after a draw at Old Trafford.
There might be enough rain around for a draw - mainly tomorrow - but England need a minimum of 350 in their first innings to hold out. Get bowled out for 250 or less tomorrow/Saturday and the Aussies will enforce the follow on. Get 60 overs play in England's second innings on day 4 and 5 and it should be enough for the Aussies to win. There is realistically no chance of England winning so what else is there to do but bat time?
Burns & Root doing fine. Let's hope that's not the kiss of death- Root does seem to have a habit of getting out between 50 and 100
