Much to admire about England's gung ho approach to cricket lately but when it starts to go wrong it is painful to watch and players need to adapt to the conditions, not taking it away from a decent Indian team
While out walking the dog I just witnessed the most chaotic cricket practice, 25 kids mixed boys and girls, 30 balls 15 bats 3 wickets and the coaches tossing in water bombs the same colour as the balls , the kids screaming with joy , what a way to promote and enjoy the game, you could see some of the kids could bat bowl and field, one girl playing like a T20 expect using ramp shots and cuts but most of all the kids were having great fun
The officials called it correctly and hawkeye overruled them. To be fair to everyone involved they did the right thing, which would never happen over here. Corrected the score at half-time and stopped using hawkeye for the second half.
Cricket fans look away now Eng are 26 for 5 it is a mess of the highest level EDIT all out for 110 Bumrah takes 6-19 oh dear
It’s a bit of rollercoaster ride watching England’s ODI team at present. But it was a fine effort to bowl SA out for 83 with Topley looking good again and Rashid having a good day. The team’s undergoing a few changes with Morgan and Stokes retiring and with any number of fast bowlers injured but the likes of Livingstone, Salt and Brook mean the batting, in particular, still looks incredibly powerful.
Not sure what to make of the way we are playing at the moment , it seems like a game of dare or chicken, the batting is all or nothing same as the bowling , one game they are carted all round the pitch or like last night they could have tossed a pie down and got a wicket
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/62277352 Just WOW of a cricket match. Two centurions before lunch! An innings with three players scoring triple figures and four scoring single figures. Extras 43. Scoring 584 in a first innings in a four day game and losing by an innings. Declaring with a batsman on 191- not letting him get his double century.
