    That's the perfect job for me brother Jakarta.

    When do I start and how do we get the plants back to the UK? We'd make a killing.

    They look very tempting, then I see this.... Carbonated Water, Sugar, Cid: Acitric Acid, Flavourings, Preservative : Potassium Sorbate, Colour: Allura Red.

    <wah>

    but if I was doing your fasting, I wouldn't be saying no to them.

    Yup, they always taste better out the bottle. Reminded me seeing them when the soft drink lorry use to come round the houses.

    I'm trying without much success. Although only had one full fat coke (330ml can) in the last week, so that's a good start. Tried one of those zero's but didn't feel too great after it, so it was either the mind over body looking for the sugar and not finding any or the sweetener shhite they chuck in it.

    Haven't seen it but reading the plot I think it is based on one of my old drivers.

    As the job normally entails sleeping at least 18hrs a day your experience at British Rail would probably serve you in good stead.

    If you saw some of the things I sneak through customs for the Mrs a few cannabis plants would be a piece of cake. Not very comfortable planting them in my garden though:

    The savings on electricity would be huge - happily grows outdoors here. Apparently in Aceh they grow it to use as a spice in curries etc

    I'd probably kill a pedestrian and get lynched by an angry mob on the first day, so come to think of it, no.

    Watched a brilliant documentary once about a London Cabby who went to Mumbai to try his hand driving a taxi there. Dodging buses, pedestrians, cows in the road...no thanks.

    Down the home stretch now. Starting to feel like Lebaran - maids are both leaving today so I am heading to the UK for my next meal, on a flight tonight. The government announcing a ban on people leaving or entering Jakarta without a travel pass between 6th and 17th May, to stop the annual exodus, has meant everyone has ****ed off a week early.

    I will be spending my two holiday weeks either eating, having PCR tests (have done 1 yesterday, two more once I get back (2nd & 8th day), 1 to get early release (5th day) from self-isolation and 1 more to come back here) or being vaccinated. I will have spent more on PCR tests than the flights.
