A mate of mine hammered them when he was in his 30's after getting divorced, and he bulked up to about 18st despite only being 5ft 10". He lived in the gym and it served it's purpose, as he got endless quality snatch for about 2 years.

Then he realised he'd ****ed his kidneys......

Why not just go along to the normal classes? The Wing Chun class around here is only £7 for an hour and a half. There's about 8 people in the group, so it's more or less private anyway. Obviously I don't know your circumstances, though <ok>

I see it every week, mate. Youngsters, usually, who want to try and impress everybody - so they grab some ridiculous weight. Best way round, for them that is, is they just do the exercise completely wrong by using all the wrong parts of their body to try and compensate for the high weight. Worst way, they hurt themselves - frequently the back!

It's not what weight training is about. They don't call it pumping iron for nothing. That's the right way. More blood, more muscle.

I do, I pay 65pounds per month for the lessons, 2 hour sessions twice a week and then to top that up I do the private sessions with the teacher, 1 hour of training privately is equivalent of a weeks training at least.

2hr sessions are pretty hard going in itself, nonstop training, no breaks, no water/drinks and no slouching because if you do then you get hurt by the guy you are training with as the punches and so on can land on your head, face and chest etc. Thing is though there are so many variations of Wing Chun teachers, you need a good one, who knows the stuff and they are hard to come by as well.

This is some of the training that I generally, it really does teach you a lot and at the same time brings your stamina up in a big way...

All about using your centre line to fight <ok>

This is the only martial art that was invented by a woman, if I'm not mistaken? I've been interested in this for a while now, it has hits own style with a lot of things. Wing Chun punch, Wing Chun press ups, etc. I'll be doing this one soon.

Played a hundred seasons of various sports and never warmed up before any game and spent absolutely no time in gyms .
The key to my very successful sporting career , be it an amateur career , is I've always gone to all games with a few beer at least in me , and smoke a big fatty just before game time . I've won many a Most Valuable Player for many sporting events following these few but strict rules .....Beer and Hoots

That's what legends has it but its not really proven whether it was a woman or not.
Should you decide to do it make sure you research the teacher, who will be teaching you as that makes a big difference, whether you learn properly or not, the teacher in that video is actually my Sifu and the guy is brilliant no nonsense teacher!

    Ok, yesterday at gym i did;

    10 minute cycle warm up
2500m on the rower on the highest setting, about 12 mins.
Then free weights and on machines; yesterday was chest and tri day so was flat bench press with bar, incline press on machine, cable fly's, tricep pulls downs.
Finished off with 20min steady state on treadmill then 10 minutes of 2 minute sprint/rest.

Tonight will be similar only will be shoulders and core. The off to the pub for the match, which will involve lifting roughly four to six pints from the table to my gob.

Squash tomorrow, then similar again Thursday.

    That 9lbs is toast!

What you do with HIAG in private should stay private, we are not interested in knowing the tales!
