A place to discuss the trials and tribulations of the female counterparts during this season.

A WSL loss to Chelsky last week (who AFAIK are in the Sugga Daddy FC mode
that means they can hoover up all the talent - perhaps Romans' missus has
said you either take the money from the mens' team or I will take more in
    divorce settlement :) ) .

Not as much as United and City though.

It's a shame the WSL is already being run like the PL, giving preference to the big name sides that are throwing cash around, rather than sides that have done more to grow the game. Otherwise it might have been a nice reprieve from the insanity of the PL but unfortunately it looks like they just want to copy it.

Club profits for 2019-20 will be down, due to the immense cost of
quarantining/disinfecting Spurs ladies after their most recent WSL game. :(

Way too early for league tables to mean anything, but the top two are the ones with money, IIRC. They'll probably run away with it.
The Spurs Birds just need to stay up this season and then go from there.

Spurs Birds overcome a late collapse to beat West Ham Bints in the Conti Cup, whatever that is.
Fair play to the filth for wearing that breast cancer awareness kit, though.

Don't wanna overhype her or anything but Kit Graham > Messi.

WSL needs goal line technology though, I reckon the ball crossed the line from the corner. Keeper palms it down to the line but her arms look well inside the goal there.

I don't think that Palace chance crossed the line, but it looked like very one-way traffic other than that. Nice free-kick, too.

Standard of football really is dreadful, I think our men's team might actually be able to win a game against either of these.

True, the standard is appalling. But Arsenal Women's team are very successful. At least the women are doing us proud at the moment, considering the men's side have been totally useless.

I’ve done my best to try and get into women’s football, especially as Spurs are in the top flight now but it’s just ****ing painful.

It'll be interesting to see how it develops and whether it will dramatically improve over the coming years, but right now, the quality on display is not great. The 3 best sides are Arsenal, Chelsea and City. I've seen all 3 of them play. Baring in mind I didn't think any side was particularly special. But when I watched them play against all the other sides, it was the equivalent of the men's version of Man City vs Barnet. Which says nothing at all about how good those 3 women's teams are and says everything about women's football as a whole.

There does appear to be a greater viewership of it nowadays though and, with more investment anticipated, I would hope it would get better.
