In a nod to the witty dog on the Internet who proposed : "VAR killed the Etihad stars" I give you the following (the LP title is VERY prescient) : Devise your own lyrics as you see fit ...
So I should be blasting this out at full volume right now, having raced up to my nearest record store - several Travelcard zones over - to get my hands on a copy ...instead I spent two hours clomping around central London going into every record store I could find in the desperate hope of finding a copy, failing at every turn, all because nobody ordered enough stock so they were sold out by 11am, while some ****ers are selling copies on eBay for £100 This never happens with Taylor Swift's ****. Just saying.
In honour of Jisoo being in the crowd today, I'm going to permanently ruin my Youtube recommendations... ...and, more importantly, ruin all of yours too
What a joy this is. Someone's stood in the premium spot directly in front of Paul's bass amps to record this, so you get 45 minutes of a bass master class. Enjoy!
For when you absolutely, positively, have to take your lover's head to the depths of Helheim ...yes, that sentence does make sense in context
Twenty years ago today I was ten minutes late for my first-ever uni lecture as I'd walked to the HMV in Sheffield city centre for the sole purpose of being there when the doors opened so I could get a copy of The Fragile as soon as humanly possible Let's just say my housemates were hearing this quite a bit for the remainder of fresher's week...
The one thing to do with music I ever was was a Boston punk. But on this thread I seem determined to share things most of you may not have heard much of. I think of a blind West Virginian named Doc Watson as Appalachia's answer to Manos de plata and Django Reinhardt. What he did best, though, was apply his style to songs that weren't. I hate West Virginia, as it happens, other than moonshine and Doc Watson.
The thing I find distracting about the last two or three Babymetal videos is how they go to great lengths to not show the third member unless it's vital to the choreography
She's currently temporary, apparently. Only joined up for a few shows and the videos at the moment. The way these bands work is quite odd, but she's probably best compared to a pre-season trialist.
It's weirder than that: they have two of the original lineup, as the third left earlier this year for health reasons, and a rotating trio who come in for live shows
A mate has given me a couple of tickets for Friday night's Sex Pistols Experience gig at The Venue. Me and Mrs B will see you there Support is the rather fun, Ed Tudor Pole (seen here giving Sally James a well earned 'once over')... I saw Tenpole Tudor support The Clash once....a very, very, very long time ago.
