I would not have gone as far as suggesting the Clash one is a '1980s saturday evening bland TV slot' of a cover of a Reggae classic, but each to their own.
None so deaf as those that will not hear. None so blind as those that will not see. If only someone who had a little bit of knowledge about reggae had written something about the clash playing the music of Jah......
My favourites Not bad for a group that were hastily put together for the background to a Harp lager commerical when a "real" group weren't available.

Very prescient of the man to know that The Clash by "playing the music of Jah" would be doing covers of reggae classics, with resulting quality from meh to sacrilegious.
The other version of Hey Joe worth a listen ...although Led Zeppelin were peeved they couldn't rip off a riff from this one
