The fact the team completely sacked off their orders and built a human pyramid in the goalmouth has a lot to do with it, although there will be a hairy moment in the 87th minute when Toby gets nutmegged on the line - but luckily Steven Bergwijn lost balance and fell off the top of the pyramid and managed to block the shot with his unsuspecting face

Well, I guess there have been worse weeks, but right now I’m struggling to think of any. For a Spurs and England fan (cricket, rugby) that was like having your wisdom teeth pulled one by one, at short intervals, without an anaesthetic! And I’m sure Villa will not be in generous mood. I predict an attritional (I nearly wrote “atrocious”!) match. But hey! we’re all still on board as Spurs fans, despite it all. And Clarence Frogman Henry (didn’t he play left back for us at one time?) gave us the words and sentiments to suit the occasion, all of sixty years ago. Line-up might be a revelation of one kind or another. Is anyone backing the manager?
