I watched AWB at Palace. He was already a good player. There's no question of his defensive abilities. He's solid. Going forward I thought he was more effective at Palace. To step up at United he needs to improve further. He has to be as good if not better than he was at Palace. It may be any one of a host of reasons why imo he hasn't. I read somewhere that Sancho's work rate is 5th in the Prem so no one can question his commitment. His whole game at Dortmund relied on a high press and he was excellent at it. Both those things are universal surely? They apply at United as much as Dortmund. He must be wondering wtf he's walked into. He can't even get a game... and if we continue to play the 3-5-2 then he's got fck all chance of getting into the side anytime soon! Btw I was watching Roma vs Milan today. Great match. Now unless Roma and Milan have moved to France, I'm pretty sure Mkhytarian plays in Serie A . He got subbed though cos he was poor so maybe your point still stands.
Sorry, thought he was at PSG for reason, like you say still stands though Got him mixed up with Di Maria (both **** in PL though )
Had a thought... how about Pulisic, Havertz, Berbatov, De Bruyne and probably stretching it a bit but Klinsmann.
Don’t you know? If the players play badly it’s the manager and coaching staff’s fault. But if they get better and have a good game, they must have had …a good night sleep. We have the best squad in the league and the players never make errors and can do no wrong. And if they do errors they are blameless.
No Christian! If they get better, then the manager and the coaches have done a brilliant job at preparing through drills to reduce errors and their impact on getting results.
I'm just going to keep posting this as it's clear one or two are struggling to understand... 1) Player is simply not good enough to play at the standard required at a top club e.g. Fred, Lindelof 2) Player is not being developed sufficiently to grow, improve and reach their full potential e.g. Greenwood, McTominay, AWB 3) Player not making an effort, not giving 100%. Reasons can be various and are unknown. It's really not hard to understand is it? Btw 1) and 2) effect the majority of games over the long-term, they are endemic (for want of a better word) hence why you can attach names to them. But 3) is effecting the minority of games, it's sporadic, it isn't attributed to the same players on a long term basis hence why no names attached. So if we're talking about players, looking at all of that, 3) really is the least of our problems HTH
Completely different game plan and formation, in case you hadn't noticed. Which Ole gets credit for, of course. Hopefully he will not revert back to flogging the dead horse that is 4 2 3 1 with McFred at its 'axis'. There is no ****ing axis when they set up like that.
Reus hasnt left dortmund ever has he? Auba apart from being up there as a top top goalscorer except for last year when he caught malaria hasnt done much
Yea keep ole in forever. The rest of the league agree If the players arent performing give him another 300m too
