I think linking to previous results against the clubs is all you can do on that front.. .. And maybe a comparison with points in previous promotion seasons?
Ok, I'll see what I can do. I don't think that we will challenge the front runners this season, though.
This table shows the positions of the Champions, Runners-up and Play-off Winners after 4 games for the last six seasons: The play-off winners have been higher than the automatic promotions places in four of the six seasons. In only one season have the champions been in the top two. The runners-up have been in the top two 50 percent of the time. The play-off winners have been in the top 6 in all but one season
I am going to see if I can monitor the league positions after each round of matches. Each week the table will be sorted in current league position order. Past positions will be included for each team. The only problem is Sheffield W's points deduction. This table will not indicate how well they are doing. A technical problem is getting all 46 games to fit, but I will sort that later. No promises. If it takes up too much time this table may be delayed.
This is getting be a good thread to visit..... and we are now in our highest position in our last 6 championship seasons...
That is probably correct Yorkie. Note, however, that the last column in table 3 is our promotion season with Aidy. (Sorry about the use of language. I'm on a writing retreat trying to churn out academic gobbledygook!)
