Newcastle United are the latest club to show an interest in signing Sampdoria striker Stefano Okaka this summer. The 25-year-old Italian international has developed into a key member for the Blucerchiati since joining from Parma in 2014, but may be offloaded in the coming months as his contract expires next summer. The striker has attracted attention from clubs in Italy, England and France already, and reportedly rejected a switch to Premier League new-boys Watford last week. please log in to view this image According to Gazzetta TV, Newcastle are attempting to revolutionize their forward line for this season, and see Okaka as the perfect target to do so. Sampdoria are open to a sale, and may allow the powerful striker to leave on a cut-price deal given his current contract situation. Okaka only netted four goals in 32 appearances last term for Sampdoria. http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/newcastle-united-enter-race-for-sampdoria-striker/
His rubbish, but it may be a ploy, if Newcastle are looking at someone else, it may force Mitrovic and his father to maker a quicker decision
Sounds like utter garbage to me. Still interested in the fact McClaren said that we were after Wijnaldum and one other we weren't linked with so far. Only Rudiger is of note, so be interesting to see if the club can do another deal this week. Many close to the club felt that the first signing would lead to a quickfire 2, 3 or even 4 more.
We already proved with riviere that if you suck in a weaker league, you will most definitely suck here.
Looking at his record, why would we not want the Italian Shola/Riviere. Every club needs a striker who doesn't score.
