Their top scorers are Tyrese Campbell and Jacob Brown both have 9, with Lewis Baker just behind them with 8. Their form isn't good going into the final two games of the season though, having lost three and drawn two in April having started the month with a 0-4 win away at Coventry. As for us, after a fantastic win, away, against top of the league Burnley, spirits are buoyed. We are still not mathematically safe yet, and the fact we have the second worst goal difference in the division is a concern, but four points clear of the drop with two to play is a lot more comfortable than I thought we'd be before the Burnley game. It'd be great to head to Stoke and come away knowing our Championship status is secure, not least because it'd do the morale the world of good. Team News QPR: Ossie Kakay and Leon Balogun are out, with Jake Clarke-Salter looking for a return. Pre-match Talk Gareth Ainsworth (QPR head coach): “It will be a tough game, without a shadow of a doubt. Alex Neil is a proud man who will want to win. “We can’t go up there thinking that they have nothing to play for. My boys will be on it and if they’re not, I’ll make sure they are! “We’re looking forward to Saturday’s game and hopefully getting something from it.” Enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Great boost from Burnley game but still a tough one, may depend how near the beach the Stoke players are. Is it too much to expect another win?...
I don't say this very often if at all ............... but l hate Stoke, like RangerCol hates Norwich, l guess. 3 points are needed here, people, Kiwi has 12 beers at stake, for God's sake! It’s for alcohol intolerant / challenged folks, not that’s there’s anything wrong with that. Gin is for us purists.
Watford was meant to be a turning point, it wasnt! Was Burnley? Personally I doubt it. I think we will lose and go into the final game of the season still under threat.
I'm the worst pessimist after a lifetime of QPR doing hideously cruel things to me. But after that Burnley result and the injection of confidence/belief it'll have given this bunch of wastrels, even I cannot see us losing the last two games and taking the drop.
Really? I can definitely see us losing both. Plus, I'm going to the Bristol City game, so that probably guarantees defeat.
Blackpool v Millwall is on Sky on Friday night. For the first and last time in my life, I'm a 'wall supporter that night. They certainly have something to play for, just outside the play off places.
The game to keep an eye on is Huddersfield v Reading. Colin's new manager bounce has not lasted all season for once so fingers and toes crossed. As one of those who felt he was not given enough credit for what he did while with us and who thinks it's a symptom of what was wrong with our managerial recruitment that he has been constantly overlooked over the last few years, he has lost my support after what he said last week . He said that he hoped that Huddersfield, Rotherham and Cardiff all avoid the drop. Spot the deliberate omission. He's off my Christmas card list.
4 big games between Thursday and Sunday Thursday - Rotherham v Cardiff Friday - Blackpool v Millwall Saturday - Reading v Wigan Sunday- Cardiff v Huddersfield Plus there's the small matter or us getting a result at Stoke.... Everything crossed
A Reading-Wigan draw as well as us at Stoke will render both abovementioned games moot. That'll make for a relaxing final weekend after all the dramas and stress of the last few months.
I’m still on a Reading mailing list after getting into the home end for the 3-3 there. They just sent me this, bless them. It's must win. If we weren’t already in that territory, we are now...and with over 19,000 already sold, the biggest game of the season will have our biggest crowd of the season. Can you help us smash the 20k? One last push, Royals fans! Our last home game of the campaign gives you one last chance to get behind these players, support your club. The message is simple. Be there. We hope you will join us. Come on URRRZZZ
