The only thing I'd love to know, is if other solar systems go through the same cycle as us. The reason I say that is because everything appears repetitive in life ie a cycle, evolution. So do other solar systems follow the same course of events over millions of years. So could there be humans on other planets or are we but a freak of nature. The problem we have is if a black hole can devour a whole star it's likely to also devour any evidence of past life, not that we can reach/travel to those points in time anyway. We need a time machine, I'm sure if all us genius' got together we could design something, and be the saviours of the world....and i'm not even a stoner bro. <ok>

The evolution of the ZX Spectrum to Microsoft Windows was either a couple of computer techies high on acid or recovered alien technology

The only way a time machine would help is travelling into the future and witnessing Earth's destruction. Hopefully technology at the time will allow you to watch from a great distance or leg it sharpish just after so you don't get suck up as well.

Btw the reason I say travelling into the future, is bcos physical time travel into the past will never happen. At no point in the future, no matter how far forward we go, will time travel back to now ever happen.

Time travel to the past already exists. When you look at stars through a telescope you are glancing into the past. When NASA receive pictures from Mars, they are from the past not the present - hence they had no control over the Martian landing, because before they see any obstacle, the event has already happened. Spooky.

Seeing as that sentence should begin with Does and end with a question mark, I'm going to have to say, no!

It's why I said physical time travel. We can't be there, only see past events. We're not really travelling in time ourselves when we see those things.

My point is moreso that if time travel into the past (to now) was possible at any point in the future - then we'd have people back here now. That means no matter how far forward we go it will never happen. Not back to now anyway.

If you fly East to West on New Years Eve you could see the New Year in more than once

In theory if you could travel East to West fast enough you could travel back in time

How do you know it don't exist, the future might not want us to know they are here observing us.

Nothing is faster than the speed of light in a vacuum, the universe is 14-15billion years old, yet over 90 billion light years across.
Who did the ****ing maths on that?

I'm up already and having a smoke, I'm in a lot of pain, at the moment. I don't usually smoke until after teatime.

Do you know that it takes about 8 minutes for the light to travel from the sun to Earth, so whenever you look at the sun you're seeing it 8 minutes ago.

I've just been reading up and apparently the sun is due to die in 5 billion years when it runs out of fuel.

Whichever side of Earth the sun is facing would melt instantly, the rest of Earth would get a little bit longer.
