My heart says an Argyle win, my head says how things stand at the moment, I think maybe Stourbridge will be the winners ! If anyone who lives in Plymouth doesn't have ESPN you are more than welcome to watch it at my house ..... have loads coming so a few more wont make any difference !
If we lose to Stourbridge and to Northampton this week..........Fletcher should do the honourable thing and step down............because if our goal differance gets any worse they will be heading for some form of record that no one would ever want to hold (-23 at present).
I think that if we lose to Stourbridge most fans would not really be too surprised or devastated. It would be nice to get through as the players and staff would benefit from the extra £18,000 or so but to be completely honest, Stevenage would easily put us out on the form they are currently showing in League 1. The Northampton (who have a better team than us anyway) game will be like Torquay, I can only see one result. They may not be playing brilliantly but each time we have met a team just above us in the table they have beaten us comfortably - Barnet is the key example. I dont care about the FA cup but I desperately want us to be a Football League club next season so I hope we can be out of the relegation zone by new year. As they say: "Where you are in January is never normally much further than where you end up."
Obviously extra cash from extra games, plus avoiding a blow to confidence, means we have to hope for a win on Tuesday. It's hope rather than expectation as far as I'm concerned at the moment. However, if forced to choose, 3 points on Saturday is a more desperate need than a cup run, especially against a fellow bottom-third struggler. In fact, with Bradford, Hereford and Bristol Rovers also at the wrong end of the table, the next 4 League games are pretty crucial. Sutherland seems to have done well against Torquay and hopefully Blanchard can add something to the defence on Saturday, so let's keep fingers & toes crossed.
We will offer you two new barmaids to help you count your crisp packets down in your cellar.............IF you will predict that Argyle will lose to Northampton on Saturday. PS...........you choose the barmaids sensible.
My Mrs was a barmaid at one time plymborn and I have enough trouble keeping up with one so to speak. Predict my team to lose........erm. Tempting to say the least. Mind you, it could work couldn't it. We shall have to mull that one over.
Total decadence....Gat-Po.........please try and control your urges.........you know that sensible can be tempted......how about 2 pickled onions.
Many many moons ago I was a barmaid for awhile at Snobs .... black velvet trousers and a white blouse and two pickled onions do you ?????
Only with the pickled onion Gat-Po...........doesn't want you without it............go on tempt him with two........only Haywards sweet silverskin ones will do.
Oh ****. OK Argyle are going down on Saturday. Not sure what bit did it but what a combination that can't be refused. I will hate myself in the morning I know...........
Whoo hoo thank you Sensible I know you could do it ..... Tip ..... don't get up until the afternoon tee hee
It will end up the only result I get right all season.............................. Two matches on Friday night this week so don't forget to post early for Christmas.
