For the EFL it is - we had that problem under Pearson. I presume it's also that limit in the PL - but it's just so rare for a PL club to ever have this many, so I can't recall ever needing to confirm the rule. Unlike many EFL clubs, PL clubs shouldn't need to rely on so many loans!

 

I doubt OGS will be there to block it in Jan...

You missed Boufal of the list so minus Gunn if you want, but add Boufal thats more than your £81m

 

Not really. We’ve got a RB backup that there seems to be a big issue with and a LB back up who has played two fifths of **** all in the PL. would have made sense to me.

Good window for ins and outs.... just need to hope the CBs hold out. I’m not convinced clean sheets against Burnley and The Baggies are enough to wipe out the ease in which Spuds, Palace and Brentford opened us right up.

Fair. I get that. Just think for the limited times we would use a backup FB, we might as well use them to develop Vokins/Valery, as opposed to a Màn Utd FB.

Hopefully the finances are helped a little too after all this

 

All in all a pretty good Summer transfer window IMO. Circa £8M of dead wood, off the wage bill and some solid replacements in their place. COYR!!!


In - Out - Forecast:

Diallo - Hojberg = A temporary chill, but with a longer term sunny outlook

Walcott - Boufal = Less heatwaves & hurricanes and a more settled climate ahead

n/a - Elyounoussi = Unwanted frost, blown north of the border

n/a - Gunn = Should have no effect on the current climate, no chance of catching a cold

KWP - n/a = Scorchio!

Salisu - Hoedt = Scorchio, scorchio, scorchio!! Couldn't give a Hoedt!

n/a - Carillo = Scorchio! … no more paying for expensive summer holidays!

Subs: Forster, Vestergaard, Vokins, Diallo, Walcott, Djenepo, Long.

Gunn and Obafemi to be loaned out to the Championship, but will make it back into the team in future.

Diallo to gradually replace Romeu.

Stephens to disappear for months, return in an injury crisis and play like a god for about 15 games before dramatically slumping and repeating the cycle.

Bonus if Walcott does well, we can probably pick him up on a free with a two year deal at the end of the season.

 

We are looking heaps better now.

GK- good options.
CB - 4 decent options that may turn out to be blinders
FB - just a bit light at LB
Mid - Still wanting a creative 10 type but looking more robust with the depth. Diallo is promising
Wide - well stocked, with established, bench and future players
FWd - Good options but we will be desperately needing Danny healthy.

Subs - some good, some worryingly inexperienced.

That was a good window. Still work to do but hopefully we can keep the work through January.

 

Booo. wasting his time there, Lemina will lock him out for the season.
