Minamino has left the Japan squad for club reasons, Liverpool fans think that means he is about to leave the club
Hey gang, has anyone got much experience of using betfair? Specifically the #oddsonthat? I tweeted them something Saints transfer related(don't worry, this is the correct thread!) and they messaged back "we are not offering this market" To me, that sounds like they already know its going to happen, so won't take any bets on it. Thoughts?
Not necessarily, if it isn’t a popular market (which any player to Saints wouldn’t be) and someone randomly asks for odds on it, they would assume the requestor knows something they don’t so won’t bother giving out a price (essentially they would just be giving away money) What was the bet you asked about?
Fair enough, that makes sense. Ha ha it was actually Bale to Southampton! Not even that crazy really, I think Bale just wants to play football where he is loved and he did say something along the lines of he can't say what he will be doing next season just yet as it will cause chaos! I could totally see him taking a huge pay cut to come re-join little old Southampton and saying **** You to the big boys!
I read this morning that Leeds looking to guzump the Gunn move to Norwich. Could be good for us; a little more cash maybe, or earlier payments.
Not every footballer has to follow the mould, it's not like he hasn't made an insane amount of money already. There are reports he's going to retire after the Euros, yeah that will help his money worries! Anyway it was the sort of thought I had and thought, the odds would be decent, worth a cheeky £1 bet, wasn't meant to be too serious, but I'm open minded enough to think why not.
While we’re at it a couple of other former Saints could come back too- Luke Shaw and the Ox, make a great reunion!
Ha ha, yeah, and let's re-sign the Wallace Brothers, Keegan, and Terry Paine! Or we could all talk about the Tea Lady some more! Let's forgot my crazy bet, has anyone got any decent PG tips? Surely something is brewing etc etc etc
Yep, always good to have a bidding war over a player you're happy to sell. I mean, granted, in this case we're talking measly scraps. The difference between barely anything and, well, barely anything. Not exactly tens of millions. But beggars can't be choosers, and anything extra gained - whether in terms of size of transfer fee, or speed of receiving the transfer fee - shouldn't be sniffed at.

According to the Beeb rumours page, Leeds are looking at two left-backs, Max Cornet (Lyon) and Barisic (Rangers), which hopefully means they have dropped interest in Perraud. Also, reports in Portugal claim we're after Alberth Elis from Boavista.
BBC reporting we are chasing Alberth Elis. Anyone know anything about him? We actually have two mentions this morning on BBC, seems like a first.
