Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has ruled out signing Mesut Ozil and Ryan Babel this summer...

No, they are not coming. “Mesut is happy in Turkey. He’s a very good friend of mine and if he’s happy in Turkey, why should I ask him to come to England again?

"He’s just gone from England to Turkey and is having a good life there with his family. I’m sure that he will recover his problems with the team.

“On Ryan Babel, we talked to him in the wintertime. We had a chance to bring him to Hull City but the coach changed at Galatasaray and said ‘I’m going to play you’ so because of that, he stayed.

According to Baz, the permanent deal for Allahyar Sayyadmanesh is all but done.

I like the look of Allahyar, not the finished article yet, but he's quick and very keen.

Happier about this since Saturday but the lad needs more support around him on the pitch. He was totally isolated on Saturday and ended up feeding on scraps.

Me too, I like what I've seen so far. Can only get better, the stronger he gets.

He said we have some “big alternatives”.

Steve McNulty in from Chester then, the ultimate experienced centre half.

It was typical on Saturday for Allahyar, grafted his bollocks off all game and was off when it had opened up when his pace in behind would’ve finished the game off. Smith got blown away by Howson after a ball over the top.

He’s only 20, same age as KLP and is already an established international.
    Great signing.

That really surprised me, he was fresh on and got outrun by Howson.

Big mutings of KLP leaving this summer. He’s not ready for the step up. 20-25 million and a load back for a year would suit. How much of that will Ehab get his grubby hands on?

Ehab could have had his 'grubby hands' on the lot if he'd have sold KLP in the last window before the club was sold. A serious offer was on the table and it wasn't an easy decision to turn down, but he did.
And KLP wasn't the only one.

Acun made a point of highlighting that fact at the Q and A. At the same time confirmed the sale completed '2 months late' due to 'documents' - but couldn't go further into that as it was a 'secret' - I assume still bound by confidentiality.

Regarding outgoings, I think we’ll see the phrase ‘will end up with McCann at Peterborough’ a lot over the coming months.

One player I genuinely do think will end up at Posh this summer is Docherty. I think it’s obvious Shota doesn’t fancy him and prefers Slater but McCann rates him a lot and he’d be an asset to any team in League 1. It’s a shame because I had high hopes for him and I love Doc’s energy and attitude but I think the Championship is just too high a level for his ability. He’s proven at League 1 level though and I reckon out of all the City players likely to leave this summer, McCann would want him the most, even ahead of Wilks.
