I do like the look of Snelgrove, looks a player in there technically very good. A few players we have been 'rumoured' to have interest in were left wingers so the club it seems are preparing for life without KLP. If he is being touted about there is no way he is signing a new contract, if we are being realistic there's only one way this is going. Plenty of players out there that will be good value. I think we need to be a bit patient in the transfer window Tan said in his interview that in Turkey its always down to the last week to do transfers.... UTT.
Looking forward to getting to Ferriby to see the new lads + the new u18s. The centre half from Burnley and the forward from Forest Green if I’ve heard correctly.
Yeah I think we've outgrown the Cottingham one. It would be better served as a youth training complex. I know the facilities at Bishop Burton are decent, but a dedicated complex for the youth would be great.
Lol. You said utter bollocks, don't try putting it on me. If you honestly think, KLP will go for more in 12 months time, you're completely wrong. It's the reason we shoved Bowen out the door with 18 months left.
if he comes out and says he wants to go how could the club stand in his way, hopefully he will stay another season
If Everton sell Gordon to Spurs we have a good chance. They’re ****ing **** negotiators unless they’ve changed personnel
We also have Jevon Mills who did well at Falkirk last season and got the Young Player of the Year award.
If they sell Richarlison and Gordon, I think they'll definitely be in for KLP. You want to rip them off but not so much that they go elsewhere The hope would be though that the money we spend on new players would be done well so those players could be sold for more than we paid. So the £16m we might hypothetically get for KLP could be reinvested and maybe turn into £30m over the next 2 years
That's a nice hypothetical but I'd rather a large chunk of it be spent on infrastructure. You can fall into the gambling trap of "Well we could turn this 16m into two players who we sell each for twice as much and then we'd have 32m to spend on the training ground!" and then you sell those two players for even more and suddenly you think "Well we just got 50m for those two so why don't we go again and get even more money!" and then the players you bring in flop and leave for free and you've spunked it all and ten years later you still have the same **** training ground.
That's a fair point. I'd be hoping we split the money into more players. I don't think it's particularly difficult to make money in the market, I'd say stick to players 24 and under and avoid Championship based players like the plague. For the KLP money, I'd like to see about £8m reinvested back into the squad. About £4m on a KLP replacement, £2m on a top RB and then maybe £1m a piece on an up and coming CB and LB
I hope they don’t move from Cott! I get to see them train when I’m walking the dog, I won’t miss the screaming when they’re training though
Are you currently employed by a Championship club and if not, why not? If it's so easy to make money..
Not sure why everyone turns into an accountant when they hear a figure of £16M being speculated upon. Acun had previously said he would be reluctant to sell KLP at £30M. I'd much rather keep on to him another season to see if a stronger team can showcase his talent.
