He's only 34 which is not old for a keeper. I don't think he will find the same support though at any other club than he got here. Without forgiving his actions I think because a lot of supporters had known him for so long they knew he wasn't the cocky sort and was genuinely remorseful for what had happened. Not sure Swindon supporters will feel quite the same.

Yep.

 

Nope. He had a trial with them before he signed for Oxford when he came out after his prison time. We signed him from Oxford but he was never offered a contract at Swindon.

 

Torpoint...0-6...Argyle.....used two different teams either half.

 

One of my favourite players scored 2. Where would we be without Wylde. How that bloke is still here god alone knows.

 

Rumours that Derek Adams final summer incoming player might be Liam Walsh a 20 yr old...5ft 6in mid-fielder on loan from Bristol C.

 

Toumi Diagouraga or however you spell it has signed for Swindon from Fleetwood on a 2 year contract. Wasn't this the bloke that had to head North to be near his family? Correct me if I'm wrong but he has ended up after half a season somewhere around 2 hours closer. Gonna find it hard to commute though ain't he. What a load of bolox footballer speak.

I also see that Jamie Mackie has signed for Oxford on a 2 year deal. I know he's a lot older now and perhaps his best days have gone but think that's a half decent signing by them. I used to think he was a headless chicken type when he first turned up here from Exeter but have to say he did develope into one decent player. Remember the bags of energy and pace he had. Everyone loves a chaser of lost causes and especially when he got something out of it he had no right to.

Toumani Diagouraga was supposed to be Fleetwoods future.....then the management changes....and in comes Joey Barton and starts building his own team.

It does defy belief that Diagouraga would come so far south again after his comments about being near his family.....with no disrespects to Swindon, I find it very strange that he sees his future at Swindon.....Maybe Adams brought the best out of him that others can't.

 

Argyle taken apart by Yeovil 5-1, who had four trialists in their team.....defence all over the place and looked rather pedestrian....a bit worrying.

 

So a step up to Div2 opposition has found us out.....Yeovil seemed to be a lot sharper than us and were 2-0 up in ten minutes.

With so many new players to bed into the squad and playing against the strongest opposition so far seemed to be a step to far at present.....at least Adams found this out pre-season and not in two weeks time at Walsall.

Concern that we didn't seem to have much in the way of an attacking edge....Ryan Taylor still not available.... Freddie Ladapo didn't travel ?......Derek Adams and his coaching staff have got to get these players playing as a team and to get familiar with each others strengths and weaknesses.

 

Alex Battle has now signed a new contract with Argyle.

 

I see Callum Rose has signed a one year contract with Dorchester Town......he played 31 games on loan for them last season.

 

Have faith Plym, it will happen and we will get off to a good start this season, im confident.. I take no notice of the pre season stuff

It sounds as if Argyle will be playing behind closed doors tomorrow against an unnamed team.

Feyenoord's website revealed that they would be playing Plymouth Argyle at 1pm tomorrow behind closed doors.

Will Feyenoord turn up with a youth team today.....like Argyle did yesterday at Taunton and got thrashed 5-0.....a lack of respect shown personally to the home side.

 

Harry Burgoyne will be returning from Holland after suffering a broken ankle in training......here we go again....keeper jinx has struck again.
