Would be difficult to swallow if went to luton, can't really see him that better off. As stated he loves it at HP and knows the players well. Jervis has been on the subs bench since he arrived and was much sought after. Better the devil you know Sonny!

Typical init...with a smaller Home Park next season....ST sales are already over 6000.....PAFC have decided to cap ST sales at 7000....allowing POTD and more casual fans who don't of course buy a season ticket access to matches during the season.
Can any one remember what the maximum capacity will be for home fans for 2018/19.

About 12500, but we have to give 10% to away supporters so with segregation I doubt that there will be any more than 11000 available for home supporters to purchase.

Should have been sorted years ago....even Exeter are building new stands in the playoffs highlights and probably without any red tape hassle we've had.

Argyle being linked to offering Daniel Leadbitter 27 yr old...6ft 1in right back a contract.....he plays for Bristol Rovers at present and has just been offered a new contract with them.....he played only 22 games for them last season and since February has been out recovering with an hamstring injury.
We don't need anymore injury prone players....we've got our share of them already.

It seems as if Derek Adams new 5 year contract broadens his involvement and puts him controlling all aspects of football at PAFC....not just first team matters.

Really hope he gets a little cash to spend as he's shown commitment and so should JB.

Well a fortnight has now passed since the retain, let go and new contract offers lists were issued.

So what has happened....The management team have all received new improved contracts...Taylor and Sarcevic have accepted their new 2 year contracts and Threlkeld has moved on.

What we need to know is how many of the players will accepted their new contract offers....until that happens Adams is slightly tied in knowing what he needs if replacing some of them will become necessary.

I'm sure Adams would have been taking some soundings whilst away in Scotland and knows what he wants.

In hindsight last season we came up short on quality reserves which scuppered our final run in....the question is does he buy the best quality he can afford or does he need to spread quality a little thinner so allowing a possibly bigger squad and the opportunity to rotate players so that they're not over played and pick up injuries because of that, playing players carrying injuries doesn't work and only allows those injuries to get worse.

We should be getting some "incomings" hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

I'm sure most clubs who offer new contracts to players also state a deadline for the player to respond. No response then they move on and look to fill the post. It can't possibly be open ended or we would turn up on day one of the league programme and have no players.

Adams warned weeks ago that we should not expect early answers on contract offers made. Agents will normally run with it no matter what the player thinks he wants. That being so, it's great that Ryan Taylor and Antoni Sarcevic signed as they did.

I'm delighted about Adams' 5 year contract - vote of confidence from both parties which you'd be hard pressed to find a fan that didn't support.

Like most things in football these days there is a regulation to cover this- they get a month to respond to the offer letter (the letter has to go out by the third Sunday in May) before the offer effectively lapses- that is not to say that we couldn't still sign one of them after the month has gone. The full rule book is available on the EFL website -the paper version is an inch thick, as is the explanatory notes document....

St Mirren's manager Jack Ross will be confirmed as Sunderland's new manager.
It is being said that he will be on a wage of £350,000 per annum.....five times what he was being paid at St Mirren.

I bet that puts Derek Adams new five year deal in the shade....Sunderland might of fallen down two leagues in successive seasons...but I fancy they will be nailing one of the two automatic places down next season in Div 1....making it hard for the rest of us.

Still on parachute money plym so they can easily afford the new boys wages and more. You know those financial fair play rules they have................load of fecking bollox aint it when we all know that having multiple amounts more than the next club before you start isn't exactly fair. I know they have to pay the wages of players still under contract from the previous league but it still isn't exactly fair and it is the clubs fault they are where they are no everyone else's. They should be there or there abouts next season for one of the promotion spots but we also know from experience that it isn't nailed on for anyone.

At the beginning of last season Wigan and Blackburn were well supported for promotion sensible....the only team who came anywhere near stopping them was Shrewsbury....who the 'experts' had pencilled in for relegation .....
