They did this to us last year. Away to Championship side who we beat then followed by away to yet another Championship side who we didn't. Cheers for that.

sensibles No 1 mate Steve Evans is doing well this season.....the Gillingham manager got sent off Tuesday night at Crawley in there penalty shoot out defeat....and last Saturday he got booked in the match against Lincoln.

So what will he get up to against us......the fans could wind him up behind the dug out.

Ryan Lowe has said that Niall Ennis could be out for up to 12 weeks......throw into the mix the possibility that Luke Jephcott could miss matches as well if called up for the Welsh U21 squad....then it becomes a major problem that Argyle needs a striker or two quite urgently....we might have to stretch the budget further than we would like to find the right player/players.

That's a disaster in my book. Still, we shall overcome.

Does that mean we do NOT have to play a game without Luke Jephcott?

The quote said that Argyle had called the game off....because of three possible call-ups ?....who are the other two then......maybe Camara and Broom ?

Portsmouth would have called the game off anyway...because they could have a possible 3 or 4 players involved in internationals.

PS.....Not Broom...but could be Galloway who is of Zimbabwean birth.

Argyle have not at present named the three players that could be called up.

INCOMING.....Jordon Garrick 23yr old winger from Swansea here on a years loan....a few games for Swansea....plus a few for Swindon on loan.

Not much to say about this.....we'll have to wait and see.....other than he isn't a goal scoring striker and he isn't a mid-fielder.....but of course he's shown up on the analytics.

Lowe said he was looking for somebody pacy who can attack down the flanks, something we don't have.

Of course nobody's even seen him play yet but Lowe said "Jordan is ..... very tricky, very direct, very pacey. He can take a man on, he can pick a pass, he can pick a cross and more importantly he can score a goal." so he seems to fit the bill, whether you like the analytics or not.

Lets hope he is the real deal....he is 23 yrs old.....for Swansea he has played 11 Championship games (2 goals)...and 3 League Cup games (1 goal).........plus 19 games on loan at Swindon (2 goals).....so he hasn't played a lot of senior football for his age.....so he hasn't set the world on fire yet....we need him to do that at Argyle.....because we are short of goal scorers.....once we used to score from all over the pitch.....that isn't happening anymore.

    PS.....I'm having duplication problems ?

He's too fat, too slow, too short and hasn't got any boots. Never trains and eats pasties for breakfast. Drinks 15 pints a day and can hardly get out of bed. I feckin despair I really do.

He played rugby league as a teenager apparently. That tells you he's strong, brave and fast because that's what rugby league requires. Let's give the lad a chance.

I picked out one of Rotherham players because he was.... strong, brave and quick. He caused us real problems down the flank.

I'm hearing James Wilson has been banned for 3 matches for violent conduct around the 50 minute mark v Cambridge.

If so it's an absolute disgrace. What happened to the referee's decision ( or lack thereof ) being final? Has to cut both ways you'd imagine.

We don't need that at present....but that's life....PAFC are making no further comment about the matter.

This means we're down to Scarr, Gillesphey & Galloway....with Tomlinson being back up.

Wilson retaliating to whatever Williams did is not acceptable....but Williams gets away with just the original yellow card they both got at the time.

Wilson is a tough act to follow....but we need to get by without him....is that three League games or the three next games whatever competition there in ?

Not 50 minutes notdistant but the first few minutes. The forerunner to the melee was picked up on camera apparently and not spotted by the officials. No feckin surprise there then. Charged with violent conduct and despite contesting the match bans got 3 matches. So he obviously hit somebody or was violent for nothing then. My arse. What did the Cambridge player do to warrant a smack I wonder? Where is his punishment.

It's a crazy situation when there's no official VAR but the FA have obviously trawled through commercial video. Where does that end? Players wearing body cams? Dug out staff including a man with a camera? What about the pic that's circulating on Twitter of half a dozen Cambridge players manhandling Wilson, one of who has him by the throat and another has his shorts pulled so far out as to be threatening to separate things that should not be separated.

Of course Sarginson didn't see that or was too lilly-livered to get involved.

It's as much the fault of the FA as the short sighted officials on the night. Why even look at this? I can see no reason for them to do it unless there was a complaint officially put in by Cambridge of course. This is the second time Sarginson has seen nothing at Argyle. He lied the first time and even yellow carded Wilson for his involvement this time. I'm guessing that he claiming not to have seen the slap but booked him for something else. Lets see if the FA are stupid enough to give Sarginson another Argyle game because I think he could cause a riot next time.

Paul Mariner's cremation yesterday (Fri 20th Aug) at the Ipswich Crematorium.....PAFC were represented by Tony Wrathall, Billy Rafferty & Paul Hart.

We could do with a Mariner/Rafferty partnership at the moment.
