Alan Brown had pace but very little skill (he would definately get it, but he wouldn't know what to do with it), whereas Ginger Dunc has lots of skill and pace but very little control, though he'd know what to do with it if he could control it . . . . sort of similar
Alan Brown that managed us? Edit: clearly not that one. The one you're talking about left when I was 2.
Not forgetting his partner Wayne Entwistle , those two together, frightening pace both of them, sadly partnership was broken up for some reason that escapes me, but they looked awesome when they were on the pitch together. Happy days.
I would take another Wembley play off final, with Watty playing a full season and bagging 25 goals. I so want him to succeed. talking of Wembley an old mate of mine who was at the World Cup Final in 66 passed away this week, RIP Alan.
Here’s the latest transfer news from around League One: Sunderland’s hopes of signing Bolton Wanderers defender Harry Brockbank may have been handed a boost. The Black Cats were rumoured to be keen on the youngster - and when Bolton announced their list of contracted players, Brockbank’s name did not feature. While that is no surprise – given that Bolton cannot offer the youngster a new contract while they remain in administration – it could open the door for clubs to swoop. Brentford and Ipswich Town are also thought to be interested. Portsmouth winger Jamal Lowe is continuing to attract interest from Championship clubs, and the Portsmouth News claim that Millwall are set to step-up their interest in the wideman. Meanwhile, Pompey and Sunderland target Jason Pearce could leave Charlton this summer - but the newly-promoted Addicks will reportedly demand a fee for the centre back. His current deal is set to expire next summer.
My old mate Alan brown Lives in houghton Le spring don’t see much of him lately Had a small health scare but is fine now
Have you seen his record? It's not very impressive, at all. He was in league one the season before with Southend and they've hailed him as a joke and one of their worst ever signings. He's 26 and played for 15 clubs, in total
I didn't check his record as it's probably just a rumour. I cant see us paying a fee for him but who knows.
Mind, there's seem decent players to be had from the Isthmian League. Bradford City have just signed a centre back from AFC Sudbury and there's a few in that league that have a decent amount of Premier League experience but are still quite young.
