Yes I have seen that in today's LEP Maclad, I think he has been mentioned previously on 606 by someone. Have a feeling that this one will come to nothing being honest, quite a low league to be still knocking about in if you are 24 and have potential. Possible a stand by in case Brown's other targets don't materialise, that's assuming he has other targets of course...........
Apparently Brown has been having a chat with three left backs as well...hope he's not planning on playing them all at the same time or we'll be severely unbalanced at the back Seriously though, he might have seen something he likes about the lad from Halifax. As you say though plumbs, if he's not made the grade already at that age then it does make you wonder. But then again, I'm a welder and not a football manager
The lad from Halifax as been knocking around the lower leagues of Yorkshire for a number of years and no one has seen anything in him to sign him and there are enough clubs in that area, you would have thought one of them would have given him a go. But there again footy is littered with late developers.
Well if there's more pubs in Hull, I reckon it's a done deal then maclad! What's he got left on his contract? Is it 12 months? Don't want another case of Billy Jones syndrome. If he doesn't want to play for us then let him go and bring in someone who does
Have heard the same maclad... Thought he might have been going back to Yorkshire but don't think there has been that much interest in signing him so far.
Hayes very close to signing at the Valley Possible Ledge going to gthe Tractors they have made a bid also Treacy is wanted by the Dingles
What sort of money for Hayes/ SSL maclad? And didn't Dingles have £800,000 turned down for Treacy? Wonder how much they've gone up with their bid
Heard various for Ledge between £1million and £2 million, Hayes not a clue suspect it won't be much also Mellor wanted by Wednesday
Shame about Mellor being on such a big wage really. Only did the job in fits and starts for us but proved he can do it at L1 level last season. He's probably settled at SW now anyway. If SSL price is as low as £1m then I hope the club have had the foresight to include add ons that could take the value up to more like his worth!! Hayes off the books will save a bit of cash and as you quite rightly say, he won't go for too much but it's better in our pocket than Charltons
