Not really a summer snippet anymore......but it seems that we have given a trail to London born Turk... Deniz Mehmet a 23yr old goalkeeper....ex-West Ham youth player who has recently been playing in Turkey....he has represented them at junior levels. He turned out the other night for the under 21 team in a 2nd round Cup game away to Millwall which we lost 1-0 in the last minutes. James Bittner has been sidelined for most of the season with an injury.....meaning that youngster Cory Harvey has been subbing in the first team as cover for Luke McCormick.....how serious is Bittner's injury that we give a trail to another goalkeeper ?
I think it would only get serious if Bittner was ever allowed to be in goal for us. I think we have been pushing our luck quite a bit with our keeper cover. I've never considered him as serious cover for anything and to be fair can't quite understand how and why he was ever given a contract. Apart from being very cheap that is.
Yes I know he is coach as well but it begs the question on what basis. He has absolutely no league experience at all and infact has very little first team experience anywhere. I cannot quite understand why we even got him in the first place apart from he was plain cheap as already said.
This is more an Autumn snippet......I see that Caolan Lavery has joined Portsmouth on a three month loan from Sheff W.......still strengthening their team hope he isn't so hot as he was two years back.
The Sun on Sunday newspaper are suggesting that Wolves are interested in putting a bid together for Graham Carey in the new year.
£5m should just about do it I think. Lets face it, it was always going to be a problem if we got any success wasn't it. Fact is we should be talking to the players now about contracts and not doing the usual Brent thing and leaving it to chance and the last minute. I don't think Brent has got one ounce of resolve in his body when somebody waves a bank note in front of his eyes. I just hope that if players do start to go that Adams won't follow them because it would be mighty tempting for him if they destroyed his promotion push. Anyway, it's all just rumour at the minute so lets not get carried away until something becomes fact.
Just a snippet in autumn.......Graham Carey could be on the bench again on Saturday......Adams says he is still recovering from his injury.......other than Smalley all other players are available for selection.

I see Banton has joined Hartlepool on loan from Wycombe for 3 months. I did tell them on the Wycombe board earlier when they signed him how hit and miss he is. If ever there was a wasted talent anywhere. He can't have too many more chances anywhere can he given the amount of clubs and how quick he is loaned out or got rid of.

Just think will need to have a bit more 'positivity' . Whatever he may have failed to deliver on in terms of infrastructure off the field, he has always supported the manager with a generous budget and ensured that the on field side of the club is well resourced.
