As they have already started claim that we have a player up for a medical today, I thought it was time to start the annual summer transfer thread.

Anybody know anything about this rumoured signing?

    Good call

Another one just came through on twitter.

No I've not heard of him either. But he's a 6'4 central midfielder with some of the best data in League 2 apparently

Going off that clip, not always the best thing to do, he can score with both feet and his head and appears very mobile. Him and Stewart could work well together. Good age as well so could be an indicator of what we are targeting this summer. Player of the year as well so hope it works out.

Does anyone actually trust Johnson to get it right? Let’s hope it’s Speakman making the transfer decisions.

Speakman an has already said that a list of players will be drawn up and that they will sit down with LJ to agree who to try and sign. A notable comment was that it would be pointless signing a player that the coach wouldn't play. So from that perspective LJ has the last word on signing players.

It was said from the outset that the manager would have the final say - quite right ! Give the new management team some time and space to do their job , just because you have a dislike for LJ a majority of fans are quite happy to give him the opportunity to get on with the job !

Know nothing of him but 6 foot 3 is a definate shift from the pigmies we've employed previously. If he can pass a ball 10 yards or more and is quick I'm in.

I'm 6'3, but unfortunately can only pass it 9 yards. So on that note, I'm out. lol

League One or Championship? He's nearly 27, short career. Could do his cruciate next season.

You could easily argue it the other way round. Why play for the big club and get probably more money when you have your local team in the league above.

If he's happy taking the easy option I'd argue that he's better off there, then.

Just depends on how Luke sees the future of the club under the new ownership and the idea of playing for the fans who have taken him to their hearts . Better the devil you know but is he convinced that the club can fulfill his ambitions , I would not think that money wise he would make a killing by moving to Luton . He appears to be happy at SAFC so unless a club makes him a offer much better than ours why move .
