Their recruitment is interesting and a lot like ours in past. Will be interesting to see if they make a better fist of it. Personally think they’ll get into playoffs.
Agree with that. They’re signing a bunch of players who’ve failed in the division. It could well work out for them as I think a competent manager in this league will have you well on your way added with a little bit of quality but overall their signings are very average and not what they’re being made out to be.
I wonder what their season ticket sales look like. They musy be offering decent contracts and have to abide by salary controls so their income must be looking decent.
that’s different tho. The EFLs rules are there but never get applied. Which is why so many clubs get into trouble and then their fans are rightly furious that the EFL let it happen
Aye, it was more the 'rules not being followed' than the exact specifics being comparable. Hopefully the review of governance sorts a few things out to prevent a Bury scenario happening again.
There are a lot of EFL clubs now under a soft embargo for breaching EFL rules. Most are related to filing accounts late but as that is how the EFL do final confirmation checks on spending then embargos are imposed. There is a sense that the EFL now will be much tougher on imposing these regulations as a tool to stop what is going on across the divisions.
It's linked a few pages back and was from RTG a week or so ago. It said Wright would leave (before it was expected), and that Jebbison and Goode would sign on loan, and Gibson and Gallagher permanently. A few ITKs have suggested the list is right in that its from a bigger list of targets. No guarantee any of the deals happen of course
He doesn't want to leave. He wants to play regular football. Loves it here. Only leaves of the offer is daft, doubt it will be. Get him in the team, develop, new contract and get on with business.
This 100%. He literally just wants to play football and is rated by the club. He’ll be a big player for us, imo.
music to my ears. I’d be drawing up a nice big contract for him right now. Or at least once the window closes
Agreed. Mental that some don't rate him. He’s got quality and can play comfortably with both feet. Let’s make him a key player and give him a new contract worth a few more quid that he deserves. Time we put more trust in OUR OWN.
Embleton doesn't want to leave safc he's sunderland through and through. A forward line of Embleton, Pritchard, mcgeady and Stewart will worry every team in that league this year. Sort the back 4 out and I've no worries about us this season.
