So basically you will happily say what we are doing isn't good enough, but you can't actually come up or say something that would be good enough in your eyes.... I didn't realise keir Starmer was a Hull City fan
On that list of outgoing players there are five players who have been effectively transferred, three have gone on loan (none really first team material at this point) and three have returned to parent clubs. The five who have been transferred have been replaced with 5 incoming all of whom I would consider capable of challenging for a first team place. I think we are still in the market for another experienced centre half and another forward. The centre half will be a loan player as will the forward. City have done good early business this window and although we are hampered by the embargo I don’t think we would have spent much anyway. We will still see more players coming in within the next two weeks and I am confident Grant McCann is getting the players he wants with the mentality he wants. A squad of 25 players with the right attitudes is more than enough for a season and although fringe players may have to go to make way in a smaller squad the thinking behind this appears to be spot on. As you all know I am not an Allam lover or indeed a massive GM fan but I think the club are doing the right thing in this current climate.
Our list of 1st team squad 'outs' is ELEVEN (see updated 1st post in this thread). OK 2 were already out on loan. So call it 9 if we must (but it's still 11). Versus 5 in. And that's without looking at the LONG list of 'youth' outgoings. I'm not panicking at all. And it is what it is. But it's rather misleading those stating "but we've signed 5 already ... we're doing well". At this stage, we aren't and we should be clear on what's happening here. Yes, time left, let's see. TWT. That was a response from you earlier today, ok you didn't say "isn't good enough" you said "at this stage,we aren't (doing well)"... Basically the same thing isn't it?... So me asking you what you would actually consider "doing well" at this stage isn't exactly a daft question is it? So come on Keir... What would be doing well at this stage of the window ( in the current covid climate and considering how long we have left in the window )
We've already got the loan forward, the lad from Brighton. Unless we offload one of Magennis, Eaves or Scott I can't see us taking, or needing, another one.
Good, fair post GB. Twt. Somebody posts 'were doing well' and several have mentioned about 5 in. I just point out at this stage we aren't. Reason, 11 out, 5 in, k.o.in just over 2 weeks, preseason camp done, efl constraints come to light, etc. We've moved up a division; as players themselves point out, its a leap. All pretty factual. Yes, it can all still come good, and of course i hope it does. Lets see. And for those saying 'give it a rest', I can say exactly the same.
Eaves will go if a club comes in for him and Scott will also head out on loan if we have enough options to cover come the end of the window ( and his agent stops being a bit of a PITA )
Crystal ball time when it comes to the experienced CF, if megennis carries on his form from last season and stays fit then it's not such a huge need, but if he struggles to step up and or picks up an injury then we would definitely need one.... For me I'd rather bring another in to cover us/create competition/impact from the bench. But experienced championship CF's that are actually good, don't come cheap
How many subs are allowed, or are we going to get fans slagging the manager for not making subs he isnt allowed to make like at Donny again?
What sort of flatbread would you prefer? And kier might be easy to knock, but thankfully he is not Boris.
This is ****ing ridiculous now why can’t you see it. 11 out 11 out 11 out You keep repeating it look at the ****ing 11 Transfers Out Max Clark Did not play Reece Burke -a big loss Jordy de Wijs - Did not play George Long - Replaced Baxter Martin Samuelsen did not play Gavin Whyte - Replaced longman Dan Crowley - replaced Williams Regan Slater - replaced moncur Callum Jones barely played needs games Jordan Flores - did not play James Berry did not play who is he
As Chazz said earlier (my god I'm agreeing with him), this is getting ****ing boring, everyone is going round in circles whilst we wait for more developments. Time out please.
Exactly same back to you!!! It's currently the FACTS! 11 out, 5 in, mostly like for like .... exactly as you state above! That's really going to take us forward in a division higher than last season! Yes, as I keep saying, there is time left, and twt. But that's the FACTS as they stand!! Please don't accuse me; you are all doing the same!! p.s. I agree with you re. Burke.
