He clearly won't be but saying we shouldn't be signing players from L1 is daft. A quick look at the championship top scorers and Moore, Armstrong and Toney have all been prolific at L1 level. L1 isn't the strongest of leagues, but there's still a lot of good players in there. I'd much rather sign top L1 players than cast-offs from Championship sides.
I think some people have wrongly assumed we will be spending Steve Bruce levels of cash next season. We will still have one of the smallest budgets in the division; that doesn’t mean we can’t be competitive, but it does mean that players from the likes of Leagues One and Two are more viable than buying Championship regulars.
I'd much rather we sign the best players in League 1 than resigning the likes of Akpom, Huddlestone or Curtis Davies.
I think the finances in the Championship will be tight for all except those still on parachute payments. Agree with the rest of the comments. I’d rather sign top League 1 players than Championship cast offs. I wouldn’t mind 1 or 2 older heads in the squad though. We do have a very young team.
We did...but not a lot of other L1 at the same time..its great to pick up value from the league but not to rely on them for a first team line up.
They obviously don't like Ehabs valuation of our goal poacherTom going back the other way as part of the deal
Absolutely or maybe absolutely not, It's one or the other, definitely. It's a black or white, ying or yang, what you win on the swings you lose on the roundabouts kind of scenario...maybe it's a definite scenario. My advice is take it or leave it, one way or the other. After all, facts are facts...most of the time..but not always, there can be gray in there too, so, just go with the flow or the exact opposite, you don't want to be a sheep after all, or is that a ewe or a ram or a lamb, sheep being a collective term I think...or is it?
So, should that be " A FACT is a FACT unless it is written in capitlal letters. FACT" or is it " A FACT is a fact unless it is written in capitlal letters. FACT" or is it " A fact is a FACT unless it is written in capitlal letters. FACT" Also, your second sentence consists of a single noun - is that considered grammatically correct? One word sentences are usually in the imperative mood, I think, but maybe I am incorrect. Then again, maybe Fact is a type of mollified expletive, a substitute for a more expressive vernacular? But come to think of it, no, it probably is not, or maybe not, or possibly not. Maybe FACT is a sentence and Fact is not.
Can you say AMUNDO on its own - does it not have to qualify and intensify another descriptor: Correctamundo, Exactamundo or wait for it....FACTAMUNDO?
Yeah, there's lot to be said for bringing one or two in who know The Championship. Not suggesting any of those three you mention.
Good luck to him, decent servant and didn't moan about being back up two out of three seasons. Reliable this season when called upon. All the best Longy.
